"When is a monster not a monster? Oh, when you love it."

* * *

For some reason, I've always loved mornings for as long as I can remember.

At the time of sunrise, I'm wide awake in bed every single day as I watch the sun come up from my large window and the view is more beautiful every time I watch it.

At 7:15 a.m., I started to get ready for school after playing th piano for a while and doing my dance routine and organizing my book shelves because I had a lot of time on my hands.

Walking into my closet, I picked out a tea-pink-beige sweater and a black skirt to go with it since it was still a little chilly considering it was February, but it could get hot in the day sometimes when the sun came out.

Pairing my outfit with black ankle boots, I added some necklaces and kept my long light brown hair open, letting them fall in their natural waves.

I also put on some lip gloss, twirling in front of the mirror before grabbing my bag and making my way downstairs.

"Buongiorno papà." (Morning papa) I kissed my father on his cheek as he read the newspaper and drank his coffee, sitting cross legged in front of the dining table.

"Buongiorno kiddo." (Morning) He gave me a warm smile as I sat down on a chair next to him.

"Where's everybody?" I asked papa who looked up and shrugged.

"Hunter's gone to work early. Aurora went to drop off the kids at school and your mama's asleep." He said and I nodded.

"How's school going?" Papa asked me and I looked up from my cereal bowl and smiled.

"Va bene. How's work?" (It's good) I asked him when he sighed.

"Same as always." He said making me chuckle.

"Any boys I should know about?" He asked me when I choked on the milk in my cereal.

"Not really papa." I said shrugging when he narrowed his eyes at me.
