"In one kiss, you'll know all I've never said."

"And that's the last of it." Grant grunted as he put my last box in the car as I put my hand on my hips and looked around my old room in Eros' house.
"We do your room next?" He asked when I sighed.
"We'll do it later, I need to find Eros first." I said and saw him nod as he took the box out and I made my way to the office.
"Eros?" I knocked on the door and heard a faint 'come in' before making my way inside, closing the door behind me.
"Still working?" I ask as I make my way to him when he nods once, a strange look on his face as he doesn't meet my eyes.
"Come here." He pushes his chair back and pats his lap. I happily comply, sitting on his lap comfortably as I straddle him and he holds me by my waist, pulling me into him even more.
My arms wrap around him as I put my head on his shoulder and feel his light kisses on my neck.
"We're done with my old room." I tell him quietly and hear the sharp intake of breath from him when he hums against my skin.
"I'll have my things out of our room by tonight." I say when he freezes, his hand tightening in my hair as he huffs once and I pull away to look at his tired face.
"You haven't been sleeping." I say and trace my fingers over his overgrown stubble and then below his eyes which have dark circles now.
"I have." He lies when I purse my lips and sigh.
"You haven't, Eros, you just hold me through the night, make love to me, and don't fall asleep even after that. You're out of bed before I wake up, or wide awake beside me some days." I say.
"And most of the time, you're cooped up in this office and refuse to eat. What's bothering you?" I cup his face in my hands and make him look at me, only for him to avert his gaze.
"You won't even look at me, Eros. Have I done something wrong? Please, tell me what's wrong so I can fix it." I plead, my anxiety getting the best of me when his eyes snap up to mine in worry and I notice the various emotions swirling in them and how sunken they are.
"No, darling, you haven't done anything wrong, it's— it's not your fault, baby, I just have a lot of work to do, that's all." He tries to console me but I know better that to buy this lame excuse.
"You've been saying the same thing all summer, Eros, at least come up with a better excuse." I say angrily, my hands falling from his face.
"Besides, I'll be gone in two weeks anyway, so you won't have to pretend to be asleep or look after me anymore, or give excuses to anyone." I state as I get off his lap, ignoring his alarmed look as I move away from him with a hurt expression.
