It had been a week now since Eros had gone on his business trip, and to say it had been hard would be an understatement. I was sulking around, moping like a depressed rat and everyone knew it.
At this point though, they had given up trying to cheer me up. Eros had called and texted for the first three days and even got a little mad when I wanted to sleep and he wanted to listen to my voice.
I was walking much better now, with Nessa and Noah's help. Arty was at the house most of the time because he was taking care of things here while Eros was away, and Juno was here too most days.
I hadn't talked to Eros in a few days now and I desperately wished to hear his voice and look at his face. I did text him a few times but he only answered with small and curt replies, and even though Arty had assured me he was fine and really busy, so he barely had time for anything at all, I still felt really sad.
Today, Nessa and Juno had taken me out shopping and I was currently standing in Juno's boutique, trying out various different outfits for my honeymoon. The thought of that made me blush every time I thought about it, and the girls had a great time teasing me about it too.
"I think this dress would look great on you. What do you think, Vanessa?" Juno asked, holding a red dress in front of my body while Vanessa scanned me with a thoughtful expression.
"With nude heels? I think it'd look great for a date night." She said and Juno smiled wide.
"You're getting better everyday, good job." She praised my best friend who beamed at us.
"I've been learning from the best." She said and we all laughed just when my phone rang and I glanced at it briefly, my heart skipping a beat when I saw the name on the screen.
"Ooh, husband dearest is calling." Vanessa said with a naughty smirk and I grabbed my phone quickly, shushing them as I put it to my ear with lightning speed.
"Darling." I heard his deep and tired voice, butterflies swarming my tummy as I smiled so wide I thought my face would break.
"Eros." I breathed, watching Juno and Vanessa leave the room quietly after giving me a thumbs up and a wink.
"How are you? Are you okay? Why didn't you call? I was so worried!" I rambled and heard his brief chuckle that reverberated through my whole body, settling in my tummy like a dull ache.
"I'm okay, baby. How's my little wife doing?" He asked as I sat on the couch and let out a breath.
"Nothing much except studying, baking, and reading books. I miss you. So much." I whispered the last part and heard his sharp intake of breath.
"Yeah? I miss you too, darling. You have no idea." He said and I sighed.
"Why didn't you call?" I asked him when he sighed heavily and I heard some papers being shuffled in the background and a door closing.
