Finding balance

Fatima had been upstairs for about an hour when Zac walked in. Zac: hey Ms.Sonya how was the park? Sonya: it was nice Zac, but Fatima is upset. I didn't mean to overstep I'm just trying to help. Zac: Ms. Sonya you are helping. I'll go talk to her. Sonya: how about I take Jace out for some ice cream and maybe a movie. Jace: yay ice cream Mama yes! Zac: Ms Sonya, thank you and Jace behave. Sonya: alright buddy let's go! Zac walked upstairs where he found a sleeping Ava and Fatima looking in her phone. Zac: hey how was your nap. Fatima: besides waking up to my family being gone and my newborn highjacked it was good. Zac: come on babe stop. You were tired we are all just trying to help. Fatima: look I get it. But I just had a baby, I'm allowed to be protective. Zac: you are baby, you are. You need anything? Fatima: No I'm good where's Jace? Zac: ya mom took him for ice cream and a movie. Fatima: oh... looks like my mom is really showing out hun..?! Zac: No! She's just being a grandma, that's it. Fatima: ok.! Zac walked into the bathroom when he got a call from Valerie. Zac: hey Valerie wasup?
Valerie: hey I know you said you were taking some time off but we got an opportunity to purchase a multi unit apartment building.
Zac: oh word
Valerie: yes we get this it will bring in some real revenue. 
Fatima walks in to use the bathroom as Zac finishes his conversation.
Zac: ok I'll be by the office tomorrow morning, I'll hit you up when I'm on my way.
Fatima: you're going into the office don't they know you're on leave?.
Zac: technically I'm not on vacation, I took time off because you were pregnant and I wanted to be around. I'm going into the office tomorrow for a few hours. Fatima said nothing, didn't remove her eyes from her phone. Zac could feel the energy. Zac: I'll be home before lunchtime Fatima. Fatima: ok. Zac: and your mom will be here if you need help. Fatima: ok. Zac: come on with the dry ass okks! If you have something to say, say it. Fatima: Zac it's fine I'm tired and I don't want to argue. Zac: argue about what Fatima lately that's all we do, Zac mumbled. Fatima: so we argue because of me? Oh what I'm the problem right now? Zac: first off, who you talking to? I told you about your attitude, and no one is saying you're the problem. I'm saying that we've been walking on eggshells around you because we don't want to upset you. But you can say what you want to us as you see fit. Even now. I'm telling you I'm going into the office tomorrow for a few hours. You know I don't go anywhere without making sure you're good and you're still upset. Fatima takes a deep breath. Fatima; my hormones are all over the place babe I'm trying. Zac: I know you are baby that's why we walk on the eggshells. Babe give yourself grace. You just had a whole human. Do you know how extraordinary you are. Zac kisses Fatima just take your foot off our necks a bit. They both laugh and cuddle across the bed.
