Light at the end of the tunnel

It's been a few days since Fatima spoke with Zac. On Sunday when Zac dropped Jace back home, from heather's, he didn't really say much to Fatima. It's now Wednesday and after her Monday session with Dr. Reid she's not really looking forward to today's session with Zac.

Fatima: Jace grab Ava's bottle of the table please.
Fatima had a rough night with Ava last night.
Fatima: Jace, baby let's go.
Fatima grab the diaper bag, Jace's backpack, her purse and her keys and made their way to the car.

Zac: Jake reach out to Brice for the name of the chick that does inspections.
Jake: Cool you want me to swing pass your crib to go over the new proposal?
Zac: Naw I'm still at the four seasons.
Jake: shit, my bad I forgot. How's that situation going?
Zac: I mean we're still living separately. We have a therapy session this afternoon and honestly after mine yesterday I'm exhausted.
Jake: y'all will be alright man.
Zac: yeah, I hope so
Jake: text me when it's cool to come by.

Fatima walked in just as Zac was signing in.
Fatima: good morning
Zac: wasup, they said Dr.Reid last appointment is running behind so we have to wait. You look tired.
Fatima: well thanks I guess 🙄
Zac: I didn't mean it like that, you seam tired.
Fatima: I am, your daughter was up half the night so she was fussy this morning when I was dropping her and Jace off.
Zac: what's wrong is she sick?
Fatima: she didn't have no fever or anything I think it was gas.
Zac: I'm sorry I wasn't there to help

Receptionist: Mr. Taylor, Ms. Wilson Dr.Reid is ready for you.

Dr.Reid: I apologize for the wait, have a  seat.
Did you both complete your assignments? Zac why don't you start.

Zac: I find taking off the ring I put on your finger highly disrespectful.
Fatima: Cheating is the ultimate disrespect to me.

Dr: Reid: how do you honer one another?
Zac: I honer Fatima by committing myself to her and only her.
Fatima: I honor Zac by believing in him even when he can't see it himself.
Dr: Reid : Zac what are you insecure about?

Zac: my relationship with Fatima. She's put together, comes from a family of love and marriage. She's worldly. I don't come from none of that.
Dr. Reid: Fatima can you respond to Zac's insecurities.
Fatima: Babe you don't have to come from where I come from. I don't need you to be worldly and put together. I choose you because you take care of my heart. I choose you because you made me believe in love again. I choose you because I want you.

Zac is now facing Fatima with tears in his eyes. He grabs hold of her hand.
Dr.Reid: Fatima what are your insecurities?

Fatima: I have been in love twice in my life. I mean real love. The kind of love that would make you do anything for. I would do anything Ian asked of me. Things I would never consider doing. He burned me bad. Broke my heart, hurt my soul. I lost myself. It took me a year to climb out of that space. I promised myself I would never allow myself to give my all to another. Then I met you Zac and I fell in love hard. The way I fell for Ian. More so  because I have a baby with you. And it scares me. I scares me so much.

Zac: Baby, I would never allow you to lose yourself. I would never hurt you in that way.
Dr.Reid: we have a basis now. Insecurities on the table. What you do with the information revealed is now up to you now. I would recommend each week continue to tell each other a insecurity and continue to tell one another how you choose to honer each other. I will see both next week.

Zac walked Fatima to her car. Hand in hand.
Zac: I miss this.... Us being able to just be.
Fatima: yeah, me too.
Zac: Fatima can I take you to dinner, I know we are nowhere near where we need to be, but baby I want to start. I'm tired of being angry. I'm tired of not seeing my kids everyday. I'm tired of not sharing my life with my baby. Baby I miss you and I'm here, I'm not leaving I'm right here. Baby just dinner.
Fatima: ......when?
