"Don't push me or I'll give you a war you won't believe." Ara seethed.
"Good.... now wake up."
Ara sucked in a tight breath as she closed her eyes.
"Wake up. Fight." Ara demanded herself. "You are Aranyani. You don't give up." Glowing green eyes popped open.
"Daemon." Ara shouted.
"Sprouting again I see." Daemon hissed.
"You tried to bury me but Daemon I'm a God damn seed." Ara declared.
"Fine, more fun for me." Daemon sneered spinning his blade. "You want a leaf or stick for protection?"
"I dont need a weapon. I am the weapon." Ara corrected.
'' It's been said that as Targaryens, we are closer to gods than to men. The Iron Throne puts us a touch closer, perhaps. But, if we are to serve the Seven Kingdoms, we must answer to their gods. If you take this errand, you go as messengers, not as warriors." Rhaenyra requested her sons. ''You must take no part in any fighting. Swear it to me now, under the eyes of the Seven." Erryk brought their bible forward.
''I swear it.' Luke said putting his hand on the book, Jace hesitated before stepping forward.
''I swear it.' Jace agreed.
''Thank you.'' Rhaenyra said as Erryk stepped back. ''Cregan Stark is close to your age, then to mine. I would hope that as men, we can find some common interest." She told Jace.
''Yes, Your Grace.'' Jace agreed
''Storm's End is a short flight from here." Rheanyra remarked as Luke stepped forward looking out over the seas. ''You have Baratheon blood from your grandmother, Anise. And Lord Borros is an eternally proud man. He'll be honored to host a prince of the realm. And his dragon. I expect you will receive a very warm welcome'' Rhaenyra told them but she was nervous to send her boys out.
''Yes, Mother.'' Luke agreed. "I mean, your grace." He corrected.
"Get to it then." Rhaenyra told them and her boys headed off.
Jace had every intention of leaving and fighting for his family but then he saw ara stand up. Blood on her, Daemon smirking down at her and he was filled with fury. Ara was still his friend. Even if they would never be anything more, Ara was family.
"LUKE!" Jace demanded LUke turned to him. "Ara needs us."
"Anything to stay away from the water." Luke agreed chasing after Jace.
"You think you are ever going to be loved and respected? No you will be feared and miserable. You want the crown? Is that it? You have the power and you are going to snatch it from everyone until you are all alone." Daemon challenged and Ara rose a brow.
"Snatch it." Ara repeated. "That sounds more like you. What you did with Rhaenyra."
"Jace will never love you, he loved your power now that he isnt marrying you, you are nothing to him either-" Daemon decided as he stalled for time, trying to come up with the best way to kill her.
"Jace was my friend long before he and I fell in love. Long before I unlocked this part of me." Ara informed him. "I love Jace but I love Aemond and I'm going to marry Aemond. Neither of them would hurt me as you tried to for power that would never be anyone elses but mine. This is my destiny and it's not my time to die!" Ara shouted. "You dont understand that, because you dont understand love. You dont understand friendship. You are so egotistical you cant see past your blurred vision on the crown. Another thing you will never have."
"Jace doesnt love you, Aemond doesnt love you. No one could love you, he is a man and the men in your life just love your power." Daemon corrected.
"No." Ara corrected with complete confidence. "Thats you Daemon. YOu loved the power but you didnt understand, or you understood too late that I would never turn on my family to get a crown. Thats why you tried to kill me. But you failed." Daemon smirked and Ara couldnt believe he thought he was winning.
