"But I was..." Ara reminded him. "I'm really tired, I think I turn in for the night." Ara added as she got up."Ara-" Jace began as he followed her.
"Goodnight Jace." Ara whispered smiling softly back at him but her gaze shifted over his shoulder to Aemond. Aemond followed after Ara.
"Sorry." Davina drawled out as she poured herself another tall glass of wine.
"You said all the things I have been wanting to say for years but... so elegantly." Alicent countered. "Thank you."
"My Davina..." Tommen agreed. "Straight shooter."
"That I am." Davina agreed. "So whats the deal? I thought Aemond was getting his chance with Aranyani."
"He will." Alicent assured.

Ara paced her room, this was bad, really bad. Jace and Aemond together and territorial. Over Her. She wanted to check on Aemond. She loved Davina's boldness but not that it was targeted at Jace and Luke. She still loved Jace... they were still family.
When Aemond got a knock at his door he stared back at it, hoping it was Ara. Knowing it wouldnt be. Not while Jace was here. Whatever they had developed would be put on a standstill. Temporarily, Aemond hoped and not forever.
"Aemond... I'm really sorry." Luke said nervously. "I'm sorry we didnt say it sooner too."
"Me too. We never should have... you said some things and we reacted badly." Jace agreed.
"I never meant to take your eye Aemond, I'm so sorry." Luke declared.
"We are really sorry." Jace echoed. Aemond didnt even blink.
"Goodnight nephews." Aemond answered in monotone as he moved to his dresser, trilling his fingers over it not really knowing what to do or say. He wanted to hate them forever. He was prepared to. Because as his mother said, good will doesnt bring back his eye. They walked cautiously to the door. But Aemond could be the bigger person and show Ara he was the one for her.
"And thank you." Aemond added. "For saying that. It took courage I did not think you had."

"Put Daeron in the stones!" Luke suggested.
"No, do not put Daeron in the stones!" Daeron spat back.
"That sounds like a fun story." Davina remarked.
"It's not." Daeron snapped.
"Now I need to hear it." Davina declared. Ara chuckled smiling up at her.
"I dont like how Ara looks at Davina." Daeron remarked. "Dont let this woman that looks like she would gladly bury her enemies in the stones for the hell of it be your role model. You dont need that. I fucking dont need that Ara!"
"What did I say? Mini Dav." Tommen remarked.
"Ara why dont you take Davina to the tree house you and Aemond made." Criston suggested.
"A tree house?" Davina countered.
"Its awesome." Jace assured her. "But everything Ara does is golden."
"Come on." Ara agreed, Jace grabbed her hand smiling as they walked. Things felt normal. It felt like everything was perfect again. Like they were normal again. Davina agreed the tree house was amazing.
"Did you tell lover boy about your little death trap in dorne?" Davina pondered as she climbed down the ladder.
"No." Jace declared. "Can you please tell me what they are talking about?"
"I... am an..." Ara looked to Aemond. "Goddess." She offered and Jace didnt like how she looked at Aemond when she it.
"Well I always did call you my goddess." Jace reminded her.
"An elemental." Criston offered.
"Yeah," Ara had to remember to not call Criston father or dad when others were around. It was hard. It was very hard because she loved him so much and she wanted to call him dad. Knew it made him smile when she did it to.
Aemond found Ara smiling more and more around Jace and he felt left out again.
"Elemental?" Luke questioned.
"Wind, fire-"
"Do the fire thing!" Aegon declared when they got back to the courtyard.
"Fire thing?" jace questioned.
"I can sort of work with all the elements." Ara remarked. "I'm stronger with nature and greenery but... I'm pretty good at fire."
"Her Targaryen bloodline." Aegon remarked. Ara and Criston shared a knowing look.
"Must be." Criston agreed softly.
"Do the thing!" Aegon declared.
"We still need to talk about that near death thing everyone knows expect me." Jace remarked kissing her cheek.
"Didnt want to worry you." Ara offered.
"Stop stalling and do the thing!" Aegon demanded.
"It is pretty damn cool," ara remarked as she lifted her hand. Jace looked at her finger tips each alit with sparkling sizzling fire. Embers flying out.
"Damn that is cool." Luke rasped reaching out. "And hot!" He shouted amazed.
"Its fire." Aemond agreed.
"Aras always hot." Jace corrected as she put her hands down.
" You should see me first thing morning." Ara teased.
"I would love to see you first thing in the morning." Jace agreed.
They spent a fortnight getting reacquainted. Falling back in love it seemed. Aemond felt like he lost Ara again but Jace would leave and he could win Ara back. Aemond was patient. He could wait for Ara to realized he was the one.
