The massive mountain of a zombie was there standing in the distance slowly approaching us, shaking the ground with each step it took.
I picked the mic, "Last time, we blew this fucker up and that didn't do the trick. Whats the plan?"
Tyler's voice now coming across the radio, "Im shit out ideas other then run."
"I don't know about that amigo, last time we tried running it kept us with us as we were driving away from it." I replied. I reached behind my seat and grabbed the 30-30. I leaned out the window and aimed for the creatures head. I began firing, landing all 7 shots. The creature seemed unphased by the bullets and continued walking towards us.
"Throw the grenades at it! We're running out of options." I shouted out the window.
Tyler frantically searched for the grenades until he found them. He pulled the pin and threw one at it, and immediatly pulled the pin on another and threw it. Both grenades went off right infront of the creature.
BOOM BOOM.
The whole area clouded up with smoke and we couldn't see anything until the smoke settled, the creature was still standing there. It began running towards us now
"SHIT, WHAT THE FUCK DO WE...." I stopped mid sentence, being interupted by the sound of a loud straight piped 454 big block.
The creature stopped and looked over at a bridge in the distance where the sound originated from. The revving of the mystery engine was getting louder and closer.
Suddenly a white El Camino on a lifted RamCharger frame with an American flag and bald eagle painted on the hood, came flying up the hill, doing a jump at the top and flying over the bridge, blaring Master of Puppets by Metallica at full volume. Whoever was driving it, continued driving towards the creature doing at least 90 miles an hour. The El Camino flew towards the creature until it was next to it and it continued on, driving towards us. The mystery person kept getting closer. They got close to us and locked up the brakes and did a full 180 and parked next to me.
I tried looking through the windos to see who it was but the windows were tinted so dark it looked black. The door of the El Camino opened and I was shocked by who stepped out.
"NICK?" I said in a state of shock
"Whats going on brother? I saw this thing as I was coming down the highway and then I spotted your rampage. It's easy to identify you, you're the only person I know that has a midnight purple rampage." He responded, reaching back into the truck and pulling out a RPG.
He fired a rocket at it. It was a direct hit right in the middle of the creatures chest and the creature went down like a sac of potatoes.
"Holy shit, Nick fuckin Middleton." I said, still in disbelief. "I thought I'd never see you again brother."
"Yeah, I thought the same about you bro." He said.
"How'd you know to hit it in the chest?" I asked him
"This isn't the first juggernaut I dealt with. I encountered one a few days ago back in Georgia."
"Well I'm sure you remember Heather." I said, thinking back to the one we fought in Georgia
"HEY NICK!" Heather chipped in.
I pointed to Tyler's truck, "This is Tyler and his wife Tiffany." I then pointed to his dads truck, "And this is Tyler's parents."
"What's going on guy? Anyway, we should get somewhere safer before we catch up." Nick said.
"Can't argue with that. We were actually on our way to Jersey to pick up my parents." Heather continued on. "Im sure Dylan has shared the plan with you before. You should come with us."
"I'd be honored to." Nick replied, climbing back into his truck. "Oh, and you might need this." He tossed a second RPG my way.
"Where did you get rocket launchers and rockets?" I asked
Nick laughed, "I went through the military base and took some useful shit."
"Good shit, we should get back on the road." I said as I put the truck in gear and set off back on the highway.
Everyone followed and we continued our journey to New Jersey.
