I've never thought vacation could be so stressful and exhausting.

We spent an entire week partying all night, sunbathing and swimming in the beautiful Croatian sea, eating a lot of good fish meals, drinking lots of cool cocktails and having fun like the old times.

But like every good thing, our holiday is now over.

For our last day we decided to go to this trendy beach, famous for its music and funny activities for young people- at least this is what Magda's tourist guide said. We will have lunch there and then go on a yacht for a party, that one of the guy Michelle met a few nights ago invited us to.

In these past days we met often Lando and his group but we never had the chance to properly spend time just the two of us, in fact our date didn't happen and I don't know how to feel about it.

"Girls, I can't believe my eyes right now! Isn't that the cute Brit Kiara hooked up with the first day?"

Magda had already had few many drinks right now, that explains her being so talkative.

"Oh my, please don't say that like this. You make me feel like a whore who make out with the first guy she meet." I said, hiding my face behind my hands.

Of course in these past days, our main topic of conversation has been Lando and what happened the first night. I had to explain how are things between us even if, seen as he has been acting, I'm not so sure anymore.

Basically we are nothing but colleagues for another weekend, no?

"C'mon, move your butt from that chair and go claim you man!" Michelle suggested.

"Go claim your man? Absolutely not! They saw us for sure, so if he wants Kiara, he will come." Lara, as the most rational of the group, replied.

"Ok ok girls, calm down and stop drinking this mojito. I'm not going anywhere, I'm not gonna leave my best friends for a man never in my life, that's a fact." I spouted back, trying to sound convincing.

"That's bullshit and you know it." They know me too well.

"So you're not gonna leave your friends neither for our date tonight?"

His voice came like a whisper behind me but I'm pretty sure everyone heard him as my friends are staring at us in pure shock.

Lando came all of a sudden behind my back, putting his warm hands on my shoulder and kissing my cheek, after making up with this stupid idea.

"What date?"

He gasped so I turned around in my chair to be able to look at him.

"You weren't drunk that night, so you already forgot it? Tonight, 8 o'clock, we're going out for dinner. Sorry girls but this invite is just for your amazing friend here, if you don't mind. But if you still want some good company, my friends will be glad to have one last day of fun with you ladies."

"It's our last night, I'm not gonna leave my friends now."

Of course the girls had to start rumble words such as "don't worry about us" "go and have fun" "we will be more than okay with the guys".

Bitches.

"I see no objections then. See you at 8." Without let me respond, he kissed my cheek again and left.

In these past days I thought a lot about the situation and I came up at the realisation that it's a mess. He's an old friend from the past, from another country, driver for another team, we're kind of colleagues now, or better: rivals.
