After one of the longest night of my entire life, the next morning, I head out with Mike and Suz to grab some breakfast together and to update them about my first night out being officially Lando Norris' girlfriend.
"So you just told her to fuck off from your man?" My manager asked me with surprised written on her face, while eating a typical small Spanish pastry that left some sugar on her lips.
"Well... basically yes. What should have I done? I mean, she was there talking to me in that strange way... I don't get why she was acting so mad at me." I exposed to my friends my main doubts, sipping on my long coffee as I didn't get much rest after the latest events.
"She told you why: you stole her guy! Now we all know that it's not true but actually, if you think of it objectively, you may realize that she was hitting on him way before you." Mike increased my bad humor with his observations, making me doubt about everything.
"From this point of view, Kiara has known Lando for ages, since they were silly teens with the passion of karting when they first met." Suz pointed out.
"Guys, it's not a competition. I just feel a bit guilty. I was tipsy and I totally lost the control with her, above all after her provocations. It wasn't my intention to rub my relationship on her face as if I'm the best or whatever. I just hope she got the message that we are now together, so she has to step back." My gaze was fixated on my cup, while my mind kept wandering about the blurred memories of our heated conversation.
The least thing our relationship needed right now was crazy acts of jealousy- not again at least. We've already experienced that feeling and no way we're coming back to that stage.
"You're such a badass, Kia. You're my spirit guide!"
We all laugh at my trainer's comment, enjoying our last hours together in Spain, before finally fly to Nice and get ready for one of the most exciting GP ever: Monaco.
After the catch up with the guys, I came back to the hotel I was staying with Lando. When I left earlier that morning, he was deadly still in the dream's world, for this I tried my best to not wake him up while getting ready. Before going out I also kissed his cheek gently but he didn't even notice, being too busy snoring against his pillow.
Coming in our shared room again, it didn't take me long to notice that the curtains were still closed in front of the windows, not letting the sun enter. Apparently he was that tired to sleep until now, even if it was almost lunch time. We'll have only a bunch oh hours before getting in the private jet he insisted on booking, as it was from one of his main sponsors. I wasn't used to that fanciness and comfiness but he basically forced me to fly out with him, so we could spend a few more days together before focusing on work again.
Stepping more inside I saw the unmade bed empty. I passed a hand on the duvets slightly pull apart at the end on the mattress, feeling that they were still warm. While analyzing them as a professional detective, I heard the bathroom door opened and when I turned around on my heels, I was left speechless by one of the best view I could wish for.
Lando was standing at the door with just a towel around his waist, while little water drops were running down his tanned and toned torso. His curly hair was tripping down even more water. He must have just got out of the much needed shower after such a hot night spent in the club.
"Hey, eyes up here, miss." He broke the silence and also my staring at his worked out body.
"Oops..." I said jokingly, a little blush coloring my cheeks.
"You're finally back. I thought you were never coming back to me. I started even to think I was just one of your one-nightstands." The huge smile plastered on his lips cheated the seriousness of his tone, sign that he was taking joke of me badly.
