Kayla's POV

"Indeed you were, my friend. The Dragon Queen will be joining us in an hour or so." Ryx replied as we entered the lobby. "Well, isn't that a treat, never thought I'd be honored to meet her!" Funnell said, leading us down a staircase behind the reception. One of Funnell's men pressed a switch, and the dark staircase was illuminated in a dim yellow light. Observing the walls, I noticed that it was completely concrete. The basement was probably merged into the foundation of the building itself. When we reached the bottom of the staircase, two guards were positioned nearby. "You see, we take our jobs seriously." Funnell explained, motioning towards the guards, who saluted him. "There cannot be any chance for prisoners to escape and so far no one has gotten out alive in more than 38 years. "

Jacob let out a low whistle. "That's a heck of a long time." I absentmindedly nodded in agreement, taking in the underground prison. I don't know what else to call it. "Follow me." Funnell instructed, turning to a corridor on the right and swiftly walking ahead. We followed him, his men dragging along the vampire behind us. Ryx moved up and started a conversation with Funnell, eager to catch up with his old friend. A ghost of a smile made it's way to my lips. It was nice to see Ryx socializing with other werewolves, he hardly keeps in touch with his ally packs other than a random call now and then to ask how his mother is. I know it's hard for him, and my respect and admiration grew due to the fact that he's trying hard to forget the past and move on.

"The security this place has is astounding!" Jacob whispered in my ear, snapping me back into reality. I agreed. Every 7 meters or so, there were two guards, who saluted Funnell in unison. "It's easy to imagine that no one has escaped. Alive at least." I replied. "We're here." Funnell said, stopping in front of a metal door. We stayed to a side as Funnell typed in the security code. An electronic beep sounded and the door silently slid to a side. "This room is reserved for special occasions, so I decided to pick this for our rather unfortunate guest." he said, moving to the side and gesturing us to go in. Walking in I gave a shocked gasp, followed by a couple of whistles from the boys. Funnell gave an amused chuckle at our expressions. "The room's official name is PR-594, but it's more often than not fondly referred to as the Torture Chamber, and you can see why."

So did you like it? Yeah I know it's a bit short, but keep in mind that this is part 2, so I suggest reading again from part 1, especially since this is a direct continuation. The two parts will be merged as one when I publish the book. :)
