We came to find out that Igor was associated with her kidnapping. That bastard has a solid reputation in the Bratva but unfortunately it's going down the drain once we slaughter him to the dogs.

We don't let off people who betray us that easily, especially if it's one of our own. Vlad has been coming up with extreme torture ideas these past few days. As of right now, we don't know where Igor and Brianna are and my tech team are doing their absolute best to find them.

They've never let me down. They found out earlier today that he's Brianna's uncle. I don't know why a background check wasn't done on him before but now it needs to be mandatory.

I warned my father over the phone about Igor and his tactics, all he said was that we shouldn't do anything about it yet, he could be our main point of information so we should just act as if we don't know anything he has to do with it.

I have always been uninterested with Igor and his role. I don't know what father saw in him, he's just an inadequate responsibility. I took notice of my suspicions of him around Zafina — it was always weird.

Firstly, I always caught him glaring at her from a mile away. Now that i'm thinking about it, I probably should've killed him in his sleep.

I sit on my office chair reminiscing about Zafina's disappearance — the events of that fateful day replaying over and over again. "Stop drinking your life away." Andrei scoffs. "Get out!" I bark, "No! you've been this way for the past 2 weeks! I get that you're mourning for Zafina but you need to realize that she's not dead!"

"When was the last time you showered?" He questions folding his arms. I refill my drink and he shakes his head, "When did you last take a bath, Eli?" He insists, "I don't remember!" I shout.

"No wonder the office stinks." He scoffs. "Go and take a shower, you know mama wouldn't want to see you like this." His words struck a nerve in me. We are currently in his penthouse and mama is back at the mansion where it is safe. If she saw me like this, I don't know what I would've told her. "Get out." I seethe and he scoffs walking to the door.

Noah has been crying non-stop for his mother. We don't know how to tell him where she is but mama said she'll try her best to calm him down. She was very disappointed that we didn't find her daughter-in-law but she also knows that we're doing our best to find her.

I honestly think i'm depressed. It's not like our family members get kidnapped but rarely does it happen. They always find a way to escape or bribe their way out but Zafina is something else — she's new to the mafia and doesn't know anything about it. I'm scared for mio amorè. I really am.

My phone rings from my pocket, I pick it up to hear mama's voice, "Please explain to me why my son is not showering?" She says. "I don't know what to tell you." I sigh, "My love, you need to take care of yourself, this isn't healthy. I bet your ass smells like 10 cans of bounce that ass." She jokes and I laugh.

"It's nice to hear my son's laugh, I haven't heard it in a while." She says. "I'm sorry, mama. I have put you and father to shame." I croaked. "Do not cry. You have not put us to shame, your strength is known to us. However, it is sometimes impossible to pretend to be someone else. I know you have a weak spot and that is Zafina." She says. "I was taken away from your father once. Although he was very mad about it, he kept fighting until he saved me."

I slowly nod my head despite her not seeing me. "Thank you mama, I needed that." I whisper. "Call me whenever. I love you." She coos and I chuckle. "I love you." I reply and disconnect the call.

Having enough motivation. I get up from my seat and stride to my bedroom. I take off my clothes and don't waste time getting into the shower. The hot water quickly steams through the bathroom and a single tear rolls down my cheek. I lean my head back on the shower wall and my lips start to quiver. Don't cry. don't cry. don't cry.

I cried. I cried hard that night. I couldn't bottle in my emotions anymore. Andrei was right, she's not dead. I need to bring her back home to the family she deeply loves. I can't give up. I can't give up for Noah.
