Mai's pov

Zuko and (y/n) were behind us but they aren't back yet, I'm not the jealous type but Zukos been acting weirder than usual.

It's not like I didn't notice him staring at her during our game earlier, no idea what that's about. When we started dating he seemed so sure, so was I. Since we were kids we've both had feelings it just took some time to figure them out. We're together but he seems farther away then before.

"Hey Mai whatcha thinking about?"

"Oh (y/n) when did you guys get back?"

"A couple of minutes ago, he was yelling at some of the guys from before not sure why. You seem very deep in thought"

"Ty Lee must be rubbing off on you, seriously can't be that clueless can you?"

"Woah there nessi, someone needs a snack"

"Excuse me?"

"You're being sour, I thought we all had fun today!"

"Whatever, you should get ready azula wants to leave soon gotta be 'punctual for the princess' ".

"Hold up Mai, what's wrong? Why are you being so blah?"

I walked away because talking to her right now is so draining, her ball of sunshine cramps my gloom. Let me just simmer in my misery for a bit.

(Y/n) pov

"Mai! Why are you just leaving UGH fine whatever be mad"

I huff and go get ready, she seriously should eat something. I don't understand why she has to take out her hanger out on me, she had plenty of time to eat!

We're going to a party im not gonna let Misses kill joy ruin that for me, I hope it's as amazing as the dance party I went to when I visited team avatar.

We're all dressed and ready to go, I feel fabulous! I haven't gotten to dress up in what feels like forever! Azula wasn't really into this growing up but her mom and I sure had lots of fun, Ursa definitely wished Azula was a little more like me.

We all headed on over, Azlua being punctual and what not. Parties don't start until its dark out, at least that's what I've heard. The only party I went to was Aangs so maybe it's normal to be this early?

"you guys are here pretty early" that guy from before said, can't remember his name so irrelevant.

"You said the party was from dusk till dawn, and it's dusk" said Azula

"Yeah...alright come on in, no ones here yet, also be careful this is my parents place if anything bad happened I'd get into so much trouble"

"We're perfect party guests, it'll be alright"

We all enter and just kinda chill around until more people start to arrive.

"Girls I need your help" Azula motioned Tylee and I over.

"Whats the problem?" Tylee asks

"I need help... with boys..."

"What do you mean Azula you're beautiful, all you gotta do is be yourself" I say to her in a loving tone

"Actually (y/n) what she needs to do is be more aloof she's really intimidating, all you gotta do is laugh at his jokes, twirl your hair a little, guys love that"

"Like this?"

She demonstrates her hair twirling which needs some work but she'll get there.

"Hmm more like this"
