Forever, You Are My Star

Chapter 29: The Mermaid

The STAR and CHARMER now docked back in Callista. It had been a three weeks since the courthouse incident, but Hongjoong wanted to give Mey time with her family since it was their first time meeting the little one. Mey was now gathering things in the cabin when she was scooped up into San's arms causing her to squeal.

    "Choi San, what in the seven seas are you doing?" He then spun her in a circle before falling onto the bed with Mey now on top of him. She, at first, gave him a death glare until she saw the love and worry in his eyes staring back at her. She then placed her hand on hid temple, trailing her index finger on his scar through his eyebrow.  "What's wrong, my love?" San then put his hand behind her head and gently brought her in for a long, passionate kiss. When he pulled away, his eyes were hooded, and his lips went into a pout.

    "How many times will I almost lose you? Because I do not know how much more of this I can take." Mey did not know how to answer as she just stared back at him. "I saw darkness, Mey. The same darkness that took over me when I was under Yang crept back into my heart when I thought I lost you for good. You are now my wife, and the mother of our child. If I were to lose you now...." Mey stopped him from talking by placing her lips on his. San responded by hungrily kissing her back and rolling her over so now he was on top of her. When he pulled away, Mey looked up at him and gently caressed his cheek.

    "We have been through many dangers, San. Some I wish never happened, and some I'm glad they did. Whatever happens, I will watch my step. I know my duties as a first mate are important, but I know my duties as a wife and mother are more important. You have my word, San."  San, who was holding himself up on one of his arms, now took his other and placed his hand on her cheek.

     "I love you with all my heart, Mey."

     "And I love you with all my heart, Sannie."

     ATEEZ and Stray Kids now made their way off of their ships. The moon was now out and full, giving them a good deal of light. As they looked on from the port, they noticed that the town was gathered around near the marketplace. Cheers and gasps could be heard all the way to port.

     "What is going on?" Hongjoong asked the port keeper. 

     "A group of traveling entertainers who call themselves the Moonlight Entertainers stopped by earlier today. Said that they would give us a free show if we took them in for the night. Apparently, they came from Seros not long ago." Jongho's ears perked up when he heard the word "entertainers". This was his dream, and now he can see them in person. Before he could start to drag anyone along, Mey and San stepped out with Tae in her arms.

     "You boys go on ahead. Myself and San will take Tae to Noona's before we head to the market." Mey said as San put an arm around her waist.

     "We will go with you." Yunho suggested. Jongho gave a pout that was more cute then anything which made Mey smile.

     "Well, it looks like Jongho really wants to go to see the entertainers." Mey replied.

     "Alright Jongho, you take whoever wants to go the market, and we will meet you there. The rest will go with Mey and San." With that, Jongho, Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, and I.N made their way to the market while the rest followed Mey and San to Noona's. After they dropped off Tae and said their greetings, they decided to join the others and have some fun. According to Noona, they were a group of very talented people who were also looking forward to meeting the famous Pirate King and his crew. As they started to draw near, Mey began to feel something; something that she has never felt before.
