Chapter Four: Angela's Plan

     Now I know why Angela gave me that death glare. She too likes Ponyboy! I'm in serious trouble now. I definitely don't want to get on Angela's bad side. And from what I can tell she's very aggressive when it comes to boys.
      "So I'm getting the feeling that Ponyboy likes you. And that's not good. " Angela paused  and looked at me with a mad face "Do you like him?". I had to lie or Angela would probably kill me. "No, he's. or my type I like-" she cut me off mid phrase  "Oh thank God, so I need you to help me get him to fall in love with me". I bit my tongue and nodded my head. Angela waited a few minutes then said "I need you to go on a date with him  and the whole time talk about me,but say good things and mention how I'm single". I was scared considering how I have feeling for him and have to go on a date but it's not a real date and I have to talk about her the whole time. But I guess I have  to do this for Angela because she knew him first and had dibs "When am I suppose to go this?". She looked at me "Before this week is over" my eyes widened a little bit, having a dead line scares me but I guess I can get it done, "Okay." 
     After a few minuets of Angela over doing her makeup and hair we walked back down stairs. Curly was staring at me as we walked into the living room "Hey Pony, want to go to the Dingo with us?" Angela said with a sweet smile, basically throwing herself at him. Pony looks at me than her and smiles "Sure why not. See ya' Curly. " Ponyboy said walking out the door.
      The walk to the Dingo was way too awkward for me to bare, it seamed like forever to get there. We finally arrived to the Dingo and it wasn't super busy. "what do you guys want? I'm buying." Ponyboy said opening the door for us. "A vanilla milkshake please" Angela said batting her eyes at him. "I'll have the same I guess." I added in. Ponyboy nodded and to the counter. "I'm going to go to the bathroom when he gets back and ask him on a date to the movies tonight." Angela said making sure Ponyboy could not hear us. "Okay.." I said with a poker face. I didn't want to show how I was scared but I have to keep my edge.
      Ponyboy walked back to the table with our drinks, "I have to go to the bathroom I'll be right back." Angela smiled getting up and giving me 'do it now' look. I waited till she was in the bathroom. I took a sip of my milkshake before speaking "So Ponyboy you want to catch a movie or something tonight?" I looked at him and his face turned red "Yeah that would be nice, I love movies." I smiled and sighed in relief "Same. "
         I saw Angela stick her head out of the bathroom door and I nodded for her to come back. It was set, I will have to go on the date and 'brain wash' Ponyboy in to liking  Angela. "I'm back" Angela said sitting down next to Pony while looking at me, me and Angela just have to give each other a look and know what we are thinking.

All of a sudden Two-bit comes running in "Jesse! There you are! I've been looking all over for you.. It's Dally he got into another fight. " I knew he got in fights but it must be bad if Two-bit came running to tell me "Is it bad? What happened?" Two-bit waited a second to catch his breath. "There taking him to the hospital". I clenched my jaw trying to keep my emotions in but it was fail, I can't lose my brother! he is the only one I have left.
    I went flying out of the dingo so no one would see me crying. I don't need them to see me a my weak points.  I didn't know where I was going but I just ran kept running. I run from everything.
      When I got to the lot I just sat against a tree and cried into my knees. I didn't think anyone would follow me so I didn't bother to look and notice that Ponyboy was following me "Jesse? Are you okay?". I wiped the tears out of my face before he could see "I don't know why Dal does this shit. He could die and I would be alone in this shitty world.". He sighed and put his arms around me, my muscles tensed "Jesse I think we should movie our movie till tomorrow so you can go see Dal. You're all he got you should be with him." I nodded and broke away from the embrace before Angela saw and kill me. He  helped me up and walked to his house. Angela was there with everyone else "Hey Jesse you want to go see Dally with me?" Johnny said as I walked into the house I nodded and followed Johnny back out the door. I knew Dally loved Johnny like a little brother so I considered Johnny like a brother.
        "Hey Jesse I have a um question for you. Do you thing with Ponyboy for?" Johnny said pushing his hair out of his face. It was an awkward situation and for Johnny to ask that I had no clue what to say. But I guess I should tell hi the truth. "It's nothing we are just going to the movies tomorrow". Johnny kinda looked sad than said  "Don't tell him I told you hunks this but he likes a soc and I think it's gross. But he's still my best friend." I was shock, a Soc it makes me sick. I had the feeling that Johnny was a little bit jealous that's why he probably said that. It did upset me a little with Pony but it's not my choice it's his and it's what makes him happy but I still have to make him like Angela. "Oh wow.." that's all I could say I was filled with all the emotions that scared me.
  We finally reached the hospital I walked up to a nurse "I'm here to see Dallas Winston what room is he in?" The nurse just looked at me and scoffed "Only family is allowed and last time I checked that hood had none". I wanted scream bitch I'm his sister so fuck off but i had to keep my cool.  I looked at her  "I'm his sister Jesse. Tell me his room before I made a huge scene and get your adviser." the nurse stared at me and grinned her teeth.   "Fine but you young man have to stay out in the waiting room." I neared my eyes at her "He is family. What room?" She looked down at her clipboard and rolled her eyes "Room ten." I smiled at her "Thank you ma'a" and went looking for the room.
       Johnny and I found the room. I stood outside the door scared of what I was going to see. Johnny opened the door and there was Dally with a smirk laying in the hospital bed without the hospital gown on, I already knew he must have been giving the nurses a hard time. From what I could tell he wasn't hurt that bad as I thought. "What the hell happened? I almost had a heart attack!" he just sat there with that smirk still on his face and chuckled  "Well nice to see you too.. You know that soc that.. umm jumped you the other night?" I could tell I'm Dally's eyes that he did love me, he may not show it all the time on the outside but it's always there on the inside. "Yeah.." I said sitting down next to the bed. "Well I saw him walking and I jumped him but then he.." Dally paused and showed Johnny and I his side. I look at Johnny's face and he was shocked "Dal are you going to be okay?".
      "Yeah I'm going to be okay. I can't leave you and Jesse alone. You guys are all I have in this world." I could have cried because Dally never said stuff like that to anyone. I got up and sat on the foot of the bed and hugged him and I squeezed him tight he really is all I have in this world are parents don't care about us, their just drunks.
      "Hey Dal you remember when I was four and a couple of boys took my Barbie and riped my ponytail out and you chases them away?" dally sat there and smiled "Yeah that was back in the day when you were an 'angel' and now you're a wild child." I just sat there and chuckled. "Hey Dal guess what?.." Johnny said siting on the chair "..Jesse got a date for tomorrow. " I shot Johnny the evil eyes. "Oh yeah? With who Jesse" Dally said with a smirk. I wanted to slap Johnny but decided it was not the time or place. Dally looked at me and I blushed "I'm going to the movies with Ponyboy tomorrow.. I was going to go tonight but it was best to come see you."  Dally didn't seem too happy when I said that. "Who else would you think it would be?" before Dally could answer there was a knock at the door.
      Angela and Ponyboy walked in, I shot Dally a look for him not to say anything but it was too late.. "Oh hey Ponyboy." he said in different tone of voice. I looked at Angela and she was smiling and giggling "Hey Jesse can I speak to you outside?" Angela said pointing to the door I nodded and followed her.
     "What the fuck was that about? Do you like Ponyboy? because if you do I'm going to be pissed because you lied to me!" Angela was ferrous over nothing. "No! Big mouth Johnny told Dal that I'm going to the movies with Ponyboy and now Dally thinks I like him!" Angela still looked mad "I don't like Ponyboy Angela, I like Two-bit". Angela sighed in relief "Oh good" she said with a grin but befor she walked in to the room she said "Oh yeah by the way Jesse you can stay at my place tonight so you don't have to stay at Buck's alone." I nodded and walked back into the room.
       As I walked in Ponyboy and Dally stopped talking, I knew they were talking about me and I was getting pissed I hate it when people talk about me. "Jess is going to stay at my place tonight." Angela said sitting down in a chair smiling. "Okay.." Dally said alittle shocked. Angela gave me a "time to go" look I walked over to Dal and gave him a hug "Well me and Angela are going to go, see you guys later." Angela waves bye and we walked out.
      "So are you still going to the movies with Ponyboy tonight?" She asked. "No he said tomorrow because what had happen with Dal." Angela had a irritated look on her face then it changed "Hey lets  go hang over at buck's for a while and get some of you're clothes". I did want to go and get stuff but Angela kinda scared me when she started to grin. "Fine let's go" I said as walking in the direction of Buck's.
