CHAPTER 7

A BUSINESS meeting was held during this our. A working hour. Alferus was quietly listening to his employee presenting her own business ideas that they have to look up to. Though the meeting isn't done yet, we couldn't ignore the fact that Alferus has always been spacing out.

He has a lot of things on his mind right now that he couldn't focus on the meeting. Nahahati ang kanyang isipan sa meeting at sa bahay n'ya. He just wanted to go home and rest the whole day. Alas-dose na ng hapon pero hindi pa rin sila tapos sa pinag-uusapan.

Aside from being hungry, he felt laziness running down through his muscles. Tinatamad s'ya dahil talaga namang nakakatamad dahil walang tigil ang trabaho n'ya. 

Pagkarating at pagkarating n'ya kasi sa meeting ay sinalubong agad s'ya ng sekretarya ng mga dokumento na kailangang mapermahan kaagad. Kasunod naman niyon ay ang dalawang magkakaibang meeting sa magkaibang lugar. Ngayon na naman ay ibang meeting na naman ang kanyang inaatupag.

He couldn't even rest for a bit. Kahit gustuhin n'ya mang magpahinga ay mayroon rin namang nakasunod na trabaho.

Alferus blinked twice as he was staring straight on the white board where a data of their sales was reflected coming from the projector. Tumango-tango lamang si Alferus kahit hindi s'ya lubusang nainig dito.

"Is that okay with you, Mr. Hemsworth?" Tanong ng empleyado sa kanya pero hindi ito nagsasalita.

"Mr. Hemsworth?" Tawag naman ng sekretaryang si Angelie na ngayo'y nakaupo sa tabi n'ya. "Are you listening, sir?" Muling tanong nito.

Nabalik sa ulirat ang lalaki nanag hwakan ng sekretary ang balikat nito. May halong pagkabigla ang reaksyon nito.

"Are you okay, sir? Are you feeling well?" Tanong naman ng isang lalaki na nakaupo sa swivel chair malapit sa pintuan ng conference room.

Sinulyapan ito ni Alferus. "I'm fine..." Tugon n'ya pa. "What did you say again?" Agad na ibinaling nito ang tingin sa nagpepresent sa harapan.

"I am suggesting sir that we need influencers to promote our product. As much as we have noticed, influencers nowadays highly impacts people especially those new generations. Since target naman po natin is 'yung mga 18 and above, I think influencers are good on marketing and sales talking. We can also get those famous actors and actresses to promote our product or to advertise. In that way, we are able to stay in line as the highest grossing company of 2023," mahabang paliwanag ng babae rito. Napatango-tango lamang ang lalaki at umayos ito ng upo.

He rolled his sleeves. "Maybe we should talk about that tomorrow. Let's dismiss," anito at na una nang tumayo. It took them hours to finish their business meeting. They're really not finish...at all!

Kinuha nito ang kanyang coat na nakasabit sa likod ng kanyang swivel chair at dumeretso na ito sa labas ng kumpanya. He drove his black Ferrari 296 GTB going to a nearby restaurant where he could take his lunch.

He stopped by on a 5 star Italian restaurant to dine. Kakaunti lamang ang inorder n'ya roon. He had a dessert. 

Kasama n'ya ang kaisa-isa n'yang kaibigan---si Valerian Veckham Vaughn Walton--- isa rin sa ma impluwensyang tao sa mundo. Napagpasyahan nilang magkita dahil may iilan itong pinaguusapan patungkol sa negosyo at buhay.

"Maybe you should bring Sanjah with you tomorrow. It's my grandpa's 60th birthday and he wanted the both of you to be there," usal ng kaibgan at sumimsim ito sa hawak na kupita.

"She's not around. May pinuntahan s'yang fashion week sa France," tugon naman ni Alferus at pinahiran n'ya ng table napkin ang gilid ng labi. 

Nangunot naman ang noo ni Valerian. "Again? Kakagaling n'ya lang ng Milan before kayo ikasal, ah? It's just the same old reason."
