A Reality Check

After a week of voting, Haseena had a sizable lead over Karishma, who was just a few votes behind. Karishma was under pressure because she could only establish her worth by winning. The MPT members noticed this, and Phuspa Ji, being PhuspaJi, enjoys Karishma's lack of resentment.

Haseena exits the cabin while Karishma was seated and checking her phone.

PJ- Maddam Sir.

Haseena stops, and closes the file.

HM- Ji PhuspaJi kahiye.

PJ- Maddam Sir hume pta hai aap hi jeetengi. Dekhna kaise Karishma Maddam aapki order chup chap maanegi.

The nonsense had literally gotten to Cheetah, Santosh, Billu, and Samairaa, and they were visibly irritated by them.

HM- PhuspaJi, Karishma Singh jeete, hum jeete ek hi baat hai, hum dono insaaf ke liye ladte hai.

PJ- Yeh? Insaaf ke liye? Maddam Sir yeh sirf maarne ke liye aati hai.  Aur agar yeh Jeet gayi naa Maddam Sir toh hum kaam nai kar paayenge.

Karishma looks at Phuspaji, then at the three people standing nearby. Karishma and Samairaa exchange glances. Samairaa was already staring at Karishma.
Samairaa motions for Karishma to speak up, but Karishma simply nods. Samairaa becomes even angrier, and she was about to say something when Karishma bursts out laughing.

PJ- Inko kya hua?

KS- Kuch nai, bas aapki baaton se hasi aa gayi. Kya keh rahi thi aap, kaam nai kar sakti humare saath.

PJ- Toh sach hi toh keh rahe hai. Aapke saath kaam karne se acha hum thaana chodh dijiye.

KS- Samjho ho gaya, Phuspa Ji.

PJ- Kya?

KS- Thana chodhna tha naa aapko? Bas ho gaya.

Karishma gets up from her desk and hands an envelope to PhuspaJi. When PhuspaJi opens the envelope, her jaw drops and her normally-laughing face becomes agitated. Karishma smirked when she looked at her.

HM- Kya hai usme PhuspaJi?

PJ- Aapne kyu kiya aisa?

KS- Kaa? Humne toh aapki man ki baat maani, PhuspaJi aapko toh humara shukariyada karna chahiye.

HM- Kya koi hume batayega yahan kya ho raha hai?

PJ- Maddam Sir, Karishma Maddam ne hume suspend kar diya.

Everyone- Kya?

HM- Dikhaiye hume.

After witnessing Karishma's harsh treatment, Santosh, Cheetah, and Billu were horrified. Samairaa was equally as surprised in the meantime, but she managed to contain her shock and smile. Not that she dislikes PhuspaJi, but rather that she finally got to see Karishma standing up for herself, made her the happiest at this moment.

HM- Kya hum jaan sakte hai kyu?

KS- Kyu? Kya aap kabhi hume apne cases se bahar nikalne ka koi reason deti thi?

(Author's Note: In regards to this plot, I briefly researched the topic of a police officer's suspension, but the servers didn't provide accurate information regarding whether a station's SI could suspend constables while a SHO was present. Since this is a work of fiction, please comment with any errors you find.)
