Chapter 20- Preparations

We decided we would handle it the next night,most of us were physically and mentally drained. Corey,Mom,Jonothan,Max,Charley,Kali and Hop all came back with me to my place.when we got there me and Corey went to my room and I looked at him.

"hey..Corey?"

"yeah?" He asked, looking at me.

"I threw the paper into the fire..." I said. Corey tilted his head.

"what?".

"Emily's phone number,I don't wanna be with her. Right now I just want to make sure your adjustment to living here is as smooth as possible,and honestly I don't want a relationship,not with someone like her" I said smiling. Corey smiled a bit before Max Knocked on the door.

"Can I come in?" she asked.

"Yeah of course" we called and she walked in. She looked at us.

"Are you both ok? After...earlier?" she asked, sitting on Will's bed. "I'm not as worried about the other 4,Joyce and Hop are carefully looking them over".

"I'm ok" Corey said fiddling with his hair "shaken up,but ok".

"Honestly,same...that was horrifying. But you both did amazing fighting the demogorgons off" I said. Corey and Max smiled a bit. "Oh Max , I threw Emily's phone number into the fire," I said with a chuckle, "only good thing that came out of it". I looked at Corey

"you both were not hurt at all were you?"

"no..don't worry" Max smiled. Corey nodded

"yeah im ok". Minutes later Jonathan walked in.

"You El and Kali will be sharing my room, Charley gets the coach and I'm sleeping with you guys" he said "you should probably get some rest." We nodded and Max turned to us,and hugged us.

"get some sleep,we have a busy day ahead of us".

I left for Jonathan's room where El and Kali were. Kali had passed out already on the floor.

"Why isn't she on the bed?" I asked.

"She said we should have it because we're younger," El explained. I nodded. We soon changed into our pajamas,I looked at El

"Are you ok? After what happened?"

"Yeah. Just...Scared."

"Why are you scared? Honestly i'm shocked You're one of the bravest people I know ''

''thanks".

"So what's scaring you? '' I asked, as El and I laid in bed.

"Papa," she whispered.

"He won't hurt you,ok? I'll make sure of it". El smiled.

"thanks".

"Of course," I said, smiling. I hugged El before whispering a goodnight,and passing out.

Jonathan and Will had passed out already but I remained awake. Max's word's spun in my head. She was right, I liked Will,but I don't understand why. Is it because of how we met? Or something else. I looked at him, when all of a sudden he sat up and pulled me into a cuddle, catching me off guard.

"You need to sleep," he whispered.

"I thought you were asleep". Will sighed.

"I was, but I woke up.I had Nightmare is all". I looked into his eyes.

"what was it about?"

"Nothing that you need to worry your pretty little head about" he said, booping my nose "now close your eyes and get some sleep" he said and closed my eyes. I readjusted myself, resting my head onto his chest and fell asleep soon after.
