Chapter 25- World Crashing Down

It was June 17th. A full month since I had moved to Hawkins. A Lot had changed since the gate was closed. Max taught me how to skate and we would race each other all the time. Hop got legal custody of Kali. With Joyce and Hop dating we all moved in together. Hops cabin was used as a vacation spot where we would go for weekends. Me and Will shared a room like before,while El got the guest room that she shared with kali. Charley shared with Jonothan and Joyce and Hop shared. This was only for now though since we planned to buy a bigger house soon. Billy and many others had been found around the town,all victims of the mind flayer and were now hospitalized recovering. None of them remembered what happened.

Me and most of the party and scoops troops were hanging out along with Karen and Holly. We had made an arrangement to do a monthly get together since we would always be in eachothers lives after what happened. Two people were unaccounted for however, Will and Joyce.

"Where are they?" I groaned. Max chuckled.
"Just give them some time,they will be here soon". Unknown to me at the time everyone was in on a plan that Will had. Half an hour passed and I was getting ancy Until the door opened. Max Covered my eyes.

"Hey what the-"

"Shut it" she said jokingly "keep your eyes closed"
I felt Something brush around my neck making me jump,but Will's voice is what made me relax a bit.

"Hey calm down,it's just me" He said before Max removed her hands from my eyes. Opened my eyes to see Will smiling at Me,I looked down to see a heart,two halves of a necklace that made a heart,our names engraved in the other half. I looked at him,My eyes watered.

"I wanted to get us something special" he said "do you like it?"
"Like it? I love it!" I said happily. Will pulled me into his arms and kissed me.

"Ok lovebirds this is cute and all,but please stop before I puke" Erica said,making us all laugh. We all sat on the coach and started to watch the star wars trilogy cause it was fun. Me and Will were cuddled under some blankets, eating popcorn. After we finished the first movie and started the second we heard a knock on the door.

I walked up to the door,looking at Will and Corey. They knew the drill by now,they couldn't act like a couple when others were around. I opened it to see a person with a R.C.M.P badge on,and a badge.

"Looking for Corey Harmon. Is he here?"
"Yeah...that's me why?" Corey asked, looking at the stranger.

"You've been reported as a missing youth in care for a month. With your parents in jail,now you're technically in C.A.S custody."

"What's C.A.S?" Nancy asked.
"Children's Aid Society. What you guys called C.P.S here"
"And who are you?" Hop asked

"Terry Martin of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police" He said looking at us. Everyone looked at Corey.

"You're from canada?!" Max asked
"Why didn't you tell us?" Erica asked
"I...I don't know...I just...didn't? It never really came up...I didn't think it mattered." Corey answered. I sighed looking at Will,Just by looking at him he looked heart broken.. Terry looked at us.
"Look,I hate to say this but Corey is going to have to move back to canada,Legally since they are not under legal guardianship of anyone in the states they can not live here"
"How can I get custody of him?" I asked right away. I had promised Will I'd never let anything bad happen to him again,and that included losing someone he loved. Terry looked at me.
"Fill these forms out,and I can start the adoption process,you should be cleared in two years max.Until then Corey still needs to come back to canada but they can do breaks here with you guys or vice versa." He said give me the forms. I took them and signed them and filled them out and he put them back into his bag. He had abit of work to do.
