"Var är han (Where is he)?" I asked my guards when I didn't see Evander beside me.
Titignan ko sana ang reaksyon niya dahil alam kong naririnig din niya ang pinag-uusapan ng mga tao sa paligid tungkol sa amin pero paglingon ko ay wala na siya sa tabi ko.
"Vet du inte vart han tog vägen (You don't know where he went)?"
"Princess Reveka."
Balak ko nang utusan ang mga guards ko na hanapin siya, pero ilang sandali lang din ay bigla nalang siyang sumulpot na may hawak ng churros at sausage sa magkabilang kamay.
"Saan ka pumunta?" Tanong ko, medyo lumuwag na ang pakiramdam nang makita siya.
"I thought you were hungry, so I bought these."
He slightly lifted the snacks in his hands so he could show them to me more. I looked at the churros and the sausage for a bit, but my eyes immediately looked up to his face.
"Jag är ledsen, ers höghet (I'm sorry, your highness). Hinanap mo ba ako?"
Kanina lang nangako ka na hindi ka aalis sa tabi ko. Tsk.
"Hindi kita hinanap." Malamig kong sagot tapos kinuha ang churros mula sa kanyang kamay at kaagad itong kinagatan.
My forehead furrowed when I thought I saw him smirk. Did he find this funny?
"Fåntratt." Mahina kong singhal bago siya tinalikuran at nagsimulang maglakad. I bet he doesn't know that word.
"I'm not a jerk, your highness."
He caught up to me and whispered that. Nanlaki naman ang mata ko at kaagad binalot ng init ang mukha. Dahil sa kahihiyan ay mas lalo ko nalang binilisan ang paglalakad, pero sa haba ng biyas niya ay naabutan niya din kaagad ako.
Hindi muna kami sumakay sa mga rides dahil pinapakiramdaman ko pa ang sarili ko kung kaya ko ba. But when I saw the smile on people's faces after they rode the park's attractions, it gave me motivation.
"I want to ride that thing."
I said to Evander while pointing at the ride that looks like a roller coaster, but you're hanging around the rails while your legs are dangling in the air.
"Visst, prinsessa (Sure, princess)." He answered.
After that first roller coaster, Evan and I started riding more and ended up trying all the park's attractions. We also had dinner at the Italian restaurant inside the amusement park before we went home.
" Jag är glad att du hade roligt, älskling (I'm glad you had fun, sweetheart)."
I just finished taking my night bath when I told Mamma what happened at the park while she was brushing my hair after drying it with the hair dryer.
"Hindi ka ba natakot sumakay sa mga rides?"
"Noong una po. But it was fun, so I forgot about my anxiety afterwards."
"Good for you, my princess..." I squeaked when Mamma kissed the side of my eye. "Si Evan ba tinanong mo kung nag-enjoy din siya?"
My smile faded because of what my mother asked.
"Nej, det gjorde jag inte (No, I didn't)."
"Then ask him tomorrow to do something you think he will like."
