Maia laid in her bed. She was numb. She couldn't help but feel broken. She knew that her mother had always been the one who was there for her in her family. And now she was gone.

Maia felt as if she was broken and she hated it. She wiped the tears from her eyes. She heard the door open and looked to see Grace.

Grace looked to her. "I spoke to Draco. He's a wreck. I wanted to see how you are. I mean my mother told me I was dead to her when she found out I was a witch. Your mother was the most caring person ever. I'm so sorry," she said.

Maia looked to her and smiled. "You don't need be sorry. It's not your fault. I need to find out what happened," she said as she sat down.

Grace looked to her and smiled.  "I know. I know it's hard. But it will be okay. And you need to rest. I know that you don't feel like sleeping or anything. But it will be okay. I know I can't bring your mum back. I can't tell you what happened. but what I can do is be there. And support you," she said as Maia smiled.

Maia knew how numb that she felt and broken but she was glad that grace was there to support her. She was glad that she had someone.

Maia rested her head on Grace's shoulder. She sighed as Grace wrapped an arm around her and held her close.

Maia walked into the common room. She saw Draco. She looked to her brother and sighed. "We need to do something. She's our mother. And now she's gone. We can't forget her," she said.

"What can we do Maia? She's gone. Someone killed her," he said as he looked away from his sister.

"Draco...don't push me away. Please. You're my brother she was our mother. We can't forget her," she mumbled.

Draco looked to her. He scoffed.  "What do you want me to do. I can't bring her back. None of us can. We just have to deal with it," he said.

Maia grabbed his arm. "Don't act so cold hearted. She was our mother!" she spat.

Draco looked to her. "Yeah she was. And now she is gone.  We can't change that," he said as he walked off. Maia looked after him and frowned.

She couldn't understand why he was being so heartless.

Maia walked into Severus' classroom. She looked to him and sighed. "What is it? I am not in the mood," she said.

Severus sighed. "I need to talk to you. About your mother," he said.

Maia frowned and rolled her eyes. "What is there to say professor. My mother is gone. She is dead," she said.

Severus looked to her. "This is difficult."

"What are you talking about?" Maia asked with a frown.

"I dint think that your mother is dead. I think she's faked her death. Or something bad has happened to her," he said as Maia looked to him in shock.

But could Narcissa actually be alive?
