Affair With Darkness •Severus Snape•

Chapter Two

Maia knew she needed to make a start on trying to seduce Severus. She knew something had to be done. She didn't want to do it. But she had to. She had to keep herself alive and her family alive.

When she woke that morning, she saw a note on her pillow;

Darling, I need you to come into Diagon Alley with me.
All my love,
Mother xo

Maia smiled slightly. She knew what she needed to do. She needed to speak to Dumbledore. She needed his help. She quickly wrote out a letter to him;

Professor Dumbledore,
My name is Maia Malfoy. I'm due to be attending Hogwarts this upcoming year. I was wondering if it was possible for me to meet with you at your convenience.
It is important.

Maia Malfoy

Maia sent the letter off with her owl and made her way down for breakfast.

Narcissa and Maia were about to leave when Maia got a letter. Narcissa smiled. "Anyone I would know?" She asked.

Maia shook her head. "No. Just a friend from my school," she lied. She knew she couldn't tell her mother that she was going to see Professor Dumbledore. "Actually, I just need to use the bathroom. Could we delay the trip for a few moments?"

"Of course."

Maia went into her bedroom and opened the letter. She glanced over it;

Miss Maia Malfoy.
First of all, I welcome you to Hogwarts. You have chosen a fine school to attend.
Second of all, you are welcome to come and see me whenever you want to. I am free tomorrow afternoon, 1pm.

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore.

Maia smiled slightly. She was glad she could go and speak to the bravest wizard of all.

The next morning, Maia got herself ready to go to Hogwarts. She had to do this. To keep herself safe and her family.

Maia walked into the dining room. Lucius looked at her. "And where are you off to?" He asked.

Maia looked at him. "Out. I didn't realise that I had to have permission and if you must know, I'm doing stuff that will help you play suck up of the year."

Before Lucius could respond, Maia made her way to the floo room. She stood in the fire place and called out for Dumbledore's office.

Albus looked up as a beautiful blonde girl stepped out of the fireplace. He smiled. "You must be Maia Malfoy. Welcome to Hogwarts."

Maia smiled slightly. "Thank you. I have something I need to discuss with you. I'm aware that Severus Snape is a death Eater. But I have information that the dark lord doesn't trust him. He's sent for me to return to my family so I can seduce Professor Snape."

Albus nodded in thought. "Miss Malfoy. I have some information for you. Severus is a spy for me. He regretted joining the Death Eaters. He is of no danger to anyone."

Maia smiled. "I thought so. I won't turn him in. I want no part in this war. I just want to keep my family alive. My mother and my brother. I will do anything I can to make that happen."

"As I thought you would. Would you mind if Severus were to join us?" He asked.

Maia shook her head. "Of course not. It would be best if he were here."

Severus walked into the office. He frowned when he saw a blonde haired girl the spitting image of Narcissa Malfoy. "You wishes to see me Headmaster?" He asked.

Albus nodded. "Severus, meet Maia Malfoy. She is Draco's twin. She is to join Hogwarts for the upcoming year."

Severus nodded. He failed to see how his presence was required for a new student. Albus smiled. "Miss Malfoy. Perhaps you would like to explain to Severus why you are here?"

Maia just nodded. She turned to look at Severus. "The dark lord. He doesn't trust you. He wants me to seduce you so he can find out where your loyalties lie," she told him.

"Severus, If Voldemort is suspecting you aren't loyal, you have to do something."

"What?"

Maia sighed. She looked between the two of them. "I had an idea. It's not the best. But it's an idea."

"Speak Miss Malfoy."

Maia nodded. "What if, I go ahead and seduce him. But nothing actually happens. I'm pretty good at manipulating people. I can make the dark lord believe Severus is still loyal thus keeping him alive and safe as well as my mother."

Albus nodded and smiled. "I do believe that would work. So long as you agree to this Severus?"

"It would seem I have no choice."

Maia and Severus were standing outside the office. Albus was talking to the order. Maia sighed. "I won't seduce you. I can't do that. But in order for him to believe that you are loyal, something has to happen between us."

Severus nodded and walked off. Maia knew that her life was going to get more complicated. But could she handle it all?
