Chapter Five

Umeji POV

As Me and Shin walked over to his place I couldn't help but notice he was blushing a lot more after I told him about hurting myself. "DOES HE FIND IT HOT?!?!?!" I thought, I wanted to ask him but uhhh-

"Hey Shin, after I told you about.... that stuff you've been blushing a lot more..... DO YOU FIND IT HOT?!?!" I cringed but I guess the silence could use a joke. Shin looked at me with shock and confusion on his face. It was kinda funny, I don't know why but I ended up bursting out laughing.

"i    i  wha.... uhm... uH?" Shin said in the most confused voice ever. I was already practically on the ground laughing my ass off. 

"NO- I. . . What..." Shin answered my question trying not to laugh.  "Ok come on, we don't have all day here!"

"ok" I laughed, we were walked over to his house when my friends showed up. "The shippers of the group" I thought. They were teasing us and trying to figure out ways to get us together VERY LOUDLY. . I've never liked girls or boys even though a lot of people tried to ask me out I always said no, which once I saw their faces after I said that I felt super bad. I just don't like girls . . . or boys. . . at all. I think that's also why I got bullied so much, was that I never had a girlfriend, but oh well that's in the past now I don't need to think about that. I'm with people who except me who happen to be openly LGBTQIA+.  Shin always looked so majestic just by . . . existing. His dark purplish hair flowing in the wind. My friends pulled me towards them, Shin looked so confused.

" you like him don't you!!" Hokuto whispered in my ear.

'Hey come on we know you like him" said Gaku.

"yea when are you going to confess to him?" asked Hayanari.

" Look we meet like two days ago. CHILL" I whispered to them. 

"aww but I know he likes you tooo" I blushed severely at this comment. "He liked me the way I like him?" I thought to my self. Before I even realized what happened I was push to Shin. I WAS LIKE TWO INCHES AWAY FROM HES FACE. I quickly backed up, I was a tomato by the time all that was over. "gosh darn it, stupid friends!" I thought. We only meet like two days ago, jeez. Shin looked embarrassed and betrayed? "Why did he look like he just got betrayed by his best friend? Oh no I probably was the cause of it!" I scolded myself for making Shin feel like that. We talked about his club activity, and a lot of funny stuff his club said and such. I was practically laughing all the way to his house. "I've never felt this happy before..." I muttered under my breath. "uh well must just be a  coincidence." I mean I AM aroace right? This isn't romantic feelings its . . . PLATONIC yes platonic. But... why do I want to kiss him? OKAY, we will think about this later. We finally got to his house after what seemed like an eternity. 

" oh hey Umeji Shin has been talking about you! A LOT!" his mom said, she had brown hair with lilac highlights. His dad was less visible but I could tell he had a very dark shade of blue, almost black hair.

"mooooooom" Shin had said. His mom burst into mechanical laughter, so with his dad.

"Come on in Umeji!" His dad said, I walked in with Shin and waved. They smiled at me. Shin lead me up to his room. The rooms walls was a light shade of purple, he had candles on top of one of his multiple bookshelves, of which all of them were a rich brown colour. His bed looked very soft. The blankets had cryptids on them, their was one that caught my attention. It was one of a wolf running in the forest, the wolf fur was black with patches of grey and its eyes were a shade of green, like Christmas green. The forest was very snowing. 

"Oh that old blanket, I've had that one very since I was 5" Shin said while pointing to the wolf blanket. 

"Really?" I said, intrigued on how a blanket could survive that long and not be in shreds.

"Yea, I take really good care of it since its really special to me!" Shin said with a smile on his face. I loved it when he smiled, he looked so pretty when he did. Ok I'm defiantly not aromantic, maybe ace but defiantly not aromantic. 

"My grandpa gave it to me!" Shin said. "I mean he's died now so I guess that's why its so special to me, because he gave me it before he died." 

"Oh I'm sorry, that must of felt like a train hitting you..." I said, I wanted to make sure he knew I cared for him. (I LIKE TRAINS *REEEEEEECH* lol)

"Yea I don't remember much of him except my blanket" Shin said, looking down. " welp ok uhm wanna read a book together?"

"sure I like pretty much anything!' I said "especially gay romance" I thought, of course I didn't say that! It would just be embarrassing to know that a big, scary, delinquent liked romance.

"Ok!" Shin said while taking out of book that read "Edgar Allen Poe's full collection of stories and poems" "I like Edgar Allen Poe!" I whispered to my self.

"WHAT IF WE TRY TO ACT OUT THE POEMS BUT IN A FUNNY WAY?" Shin exclaimed, half laughing. I was all ready laughing at all the jokes we could make.

"Sure that be really funny" I said trying not to laugh. We started and it was so funny me and Shin were laughing all day long! I didn't want it to end but I did have to go home and go to bed. Shin was getting bored so he brought out Romeo and Juliet. We copied the language and said it in a really funny accent. 

"Oh Romeo where art thou be?" Shin said in the most snobbish, princesses voice he could muster.   I wheezed, not just laughed, I tea kettle WHEEZED. Shin laughed with me, we were basically paralyzed from all the laughing. 

"Wow Shin your really funny out of school! Its like your true self comes out..." I muttered the last part in fear he would think I liked the old him better. 

"Oh really? Haha I guess when I'm comfortable I because loud and funny. Though I don't really think I'm funny..." Shin said.

"You ARE funny I legit just wheezed because of your jokes!!" I said trying to make him believe that he was funny. He had this look on his face, it looked like he was relived to hear that. I smiled hoping to refine my answer with that. He smiled back, his smile I could always get lost in it. After that we went down to have dinner.

"this is really good! I like it!" I complimented their food.

"awh thanks!" His mom said. After dinner shin checked the time.

"Oh it 7pm! you should probably get going!" Shin said. I didn't want to go but I had to. So I called my mom to come pick me up. I gave her the addresses and BAM she was there! 

*knock* *knock* *knock*

I opened the door. "Hey mom!" I looked back at Shin. "Bye Shin see you tomorrow!"
