Chapter Ten

Shin POV

When I got home I eat dinner brushed my teeth, showered, changed, and the went to bed. I thought about texting Umeji about, Museme and stuff but I didn't. I, slowly but surely fell asleep. When I woke up I looked at my calendar. "Todays the day, I get to tell . . . him how I feel" I blushed at the thought. "But what if he hates me after what I did yesterday?" I worried that, that would happen but it hasn't happened yet so I will get my conformation today. I got ready and walked to Umejis house.

"Hey Umeji! Wanna walk to school together?" I asked, since he was right there. He looked up at me, I blushed under his gaze. He was so perfect.

"Oh yea I was actually waiting for you!" He sighed, relieved. "Maybe he does like me" I thought.

"Yes he has the fattest crush on you Shin!" One of his friends, Gaku said. 

"Oh yeaaaa" Hotokuto said. Umeji hushed the two and he lead us to the school.

"You know what you did to Museme was pretty badass not gonna lie" Umeji said, out of the blue. I was shocked to hear that. I thought he would hate my guts.

"O-oh r-really thanks" I stuttered, trying to keep my cool. We walked to school, once we got to the entrance I asked them if I could hang out with them today. They, thankfully said yes. I'm grateful I got to know his friends more, their quite funny. Once the bell rang though I had to say goodbye. I walked in to see those stupid words and my desk. "Apparently Museme didn't tell them I whooped her ass and could do it again if I wanted to" I thought, I looked at the words on  my desk all of them where the same except for one.

"I heard your colorblind" What how did they know, I never let that secret out! Oh well, they probably don't actually know that. Probably just a rumor. I took out my phone and scrolled through tiktok this time. Nothing out of the  usual, just my normal fyp. Class started and it was, boring to say the least. Umeji was usually here even if he was a few minutes late. I wondered where he was. Class was so boring without him by my side. It was like a part of me was missing, today was language arts. I liked it, no no I loved it. It was my favorite subject in school, maybe because I want to be a supernatural author. It combines both my love for the supernatural and writing. Class was done, so I walked so Umejis locker. I knew I could have put it in later but I couldn't wait any longer to leave the note. The note read . . .

         "Umeji, please meet me behind the cherry tree at school, 5pm, I want to tell you something"

I made sure it was in my best handwriting and put it in. I asked a girl named Ayano to tell him that some one had put a note in his locker. Thankfully me and her where friends so she did it for me. Now the Umeji knew there was a note in his locker he ran straight to it. He looked confused then he read the note. 

"Maybe its Shin..."  Umeji sighed while he slid the note into his pocket. I went to where my friends where and sat down to eat. They all asked me where I've been and where I kept running off to, but I wouldn't tell them. The bell rang which meant it was time to head to class. I went to class and Umeji was there!

"Umeji where were you this morning?" 

"I had to pick something up for a friend Sorry Mrs" Umeji has gotten more polite ever since I met him. "Am I influencing this?" I thought to myself. Oh well its not really my problem if he wants to be more polite and kind to people. Class ended and I ran to the cherry tree with my sketch book. I knew what I wanted to draw, I wanted to draw Umeji under the cherry tree. I didn't need color to make him look absolutely gorgeous! He was already stunning, even without a world full of color. It look me about an hour to get his facial features correct, then I heard running followed by short, tired breaths. I walked to where he could see me. He lifted up his head to do so.

"Shin . . . what are you doing here?" Umeji asked.

"I- Listen up ok! It takes a lot of courage to say this ok? I . . . I love you Umeji, ever since we first met I loved you. Umeji I will love you till the end of time. This past week just proved my feelings for you . . . I even bought two gaming sets so we can play together. Its of your favorite game . . . Yancraft!" I took out a box and handed it to him. " PLEASE ACEPT MY FEELINGS UMEJI!!" I was shaking I was so nervous. He looked so shocked, then blush appeared on his face.

"Shin . . . I love you too . . . I wasn't sure about my feeling until a few days ago. I actually have something for you too, it was what I picked up today." I raised my eyebrow. "Here!" He handed me a box of . . . colorblind glasses! I've wanted them ever since I found out I was colorblind. I hugged him very tightly and said thank you a thousand times. I was so grateful that he got me these. A part of me wondered how he knew I was colorblind, let alone what type of color blindness I have. But nonetheless, I was grateful to have him in my world. I pulled away, but my arms where still hugging him, then in the moment we kissed. His lips where so soft almost like the feather pillows. Then we pulled away and we hugged each other. I was so happy I was crying! It felt like all the nervousness drowned out in this moment, I felt so alive and happy in his arms.
