Chapter Nine

(yes i prob reflect to much on Shin butttttttttttttt)

Umeji POV

I stared at Museme. I don't know what I was supposed to do, she deserved it for sure but I never expected Shin to be the one to physically hurt her, let alone emotionally. He stared at her for a long time that I didn't realize Shin had ran. I should probably check his house. I walked to his house and there he was, sleeping peacefully on his bed. I wanted to wake him up, to let him know I was proud of him. I got out of his room and he woke up.

"Is today the art thing I have to do . . . ugh I hope the school knows I'm colorblind. . ." Shin yawned. He's colorblind? I thought to myself. I mean it would make since, one time I asked him to get me a green marker for a project and he came back with a red one. So I guess it was obvious but I thought he was just being silly. I walked in and told him that it was the middle of the school day and we needed to get to school quick. He listened and we ran back to school, there was an ambulance at the school. It was for Museme, I gonna back Shin up in court if he gets charged. We ignored it and walked to class. "Does he have colorblind glasses to help him see?" I asked myself. If he didn't I would just tell him that he grabbed the wrong color for what he was doing. After Museme was rode off in the ambulance the classroom quickly turned into a mess. Paint was everywhere, I wanted to clean it up so badly but ignored it.

"So, Shin what are you painting?"

"A rose! I love their symbolism!" He replied. I didn't wanna tell him but, half of the rose petals were green. I didn't mind it though it looked really cool, a rose with red and green petals. I stared at it.

"Is there something wrong Umeji?" Shin asked, worried. I quickly snapped out of the trance I was in and looked at him. I felt so bad for him, he couldn't see the world like others did naturally. He would have to wear glasses to even see what I saw. 

"oh its nothing"

"does it look bad?" He asked.

"No No it doesn't I think it looks nice" It did look nice, even though he doesn't have the colors down, it still looks beautiful no matter what. 

"oh ok" He said, relieved. I continued to paint a sunset and the teacher came over to make sure we were doing our work. She said mine looked great but when she saw Shins. . .

"Um Shin? Why is the rose red AND green?" Shin looked panicked and quickly made up an excuse. 

"Oh I just thought it would be cool to the piece since roses are usually just red. . ." He nervously said.

"Oh ok!" She said. She walked away to look at other peoples paintings. The class ended and Shin went to clean the school as usual. I went to talk to my friends, nothing unusual. Then it struck 4 which usually we leave but I wanted to stay behind so I could find Shin. My friends left and I was alone. I went to find Shin, he was siting down on the rooftop. I sat next to him and sighed.

"hey I can walk you too your house if you want"

"Oh r-really? Id appreciate that" He smiled faintly. we walked out of school and to his home. We said goodbye to one another and I started to walk home. I did the usual, eat dinner, brush my teeth, take a shower, change, then go to bed.
