Miraculous Webbing; A Cat's Jealous Heart

Chapter 2: Lady Wifi and Wifi-Mech

Shayne POV

As soon as we arrived on the scene, we saw Alya dressed in a tight fitted black and white suit with a wifi logo on her torso riding on a large robot like kaiju , who also has a large wifi symbol on its chest. As Alya was firing pause symbols at civilians, the kaiju was wrecking buildings left and right.  I managed to use my webbing to catch a few civilians who jumped from a flaming building.

"Get to safety." I said as they left after thanking me.

"Ladybug and Spider-X, give me your miraculous otherwise my Wifi-Mech will destroy this city and everyone in it." Alya ordered as her kaiju roared.

"I don't have a miraculous, but even if i did I wouldn't give it to you." I replied.

"Wifi-Zilla, attack!" She shouted.

We dodged as the kaiju slammed its foot down at us. Ladybug used her yo-yo to ensnare the kaiju's legs, only to be knocked back by its force. I hurled a few web bombs to pin it down, but it broke the webbing. My spidey senses picked up a lock symbol fired at me and backflipped away from it with ease. Lady Wifi landed in front of us and hurled more lock symbols at us, forcing us back.

"Still no sign of Chat Noir." I said as I cartwheeled away from a lock symbol.

"Forget about him! We can handle this." Ladybug replied as she ducked under a lock symbol.

Suddenly, Wifi-Mech swatted her aside with its fist. I was about to help her up, but Lady Wifi kicked me to the ground. Before I could get up, she straddled on top of me and summoned a camera symbol.

"Let's see who you are under that mask. Hope Ladybug doesn't mind."  She said as she reached for my mask.

"As a matter of fact, she does." Ladybug replied as she kicked her away and helped me up.

"Heads up!" I shouted as my spidey sense acted up and I tackled her away from Wifi-Zilla.

We quickly ran for cover as the kaiju hurled debris at us. As I replaced the cartridge in my webs, Ladybug used her lucky charm to summon an emp mine. She looked around and ducked as Lady Wifi hurled another lock symbol at her.

"You got enough webs to make a slingshot?" She asked.

"Yeah. Why?" I replied.

"Do it. I got an idea." She replied.

After she told me her plan, I nodded and fired both my webs at two buildings, forming a sling, and pulled myself back as far as I could while Ladybug held off Lady Wifi and Wifi-Mech. As soon as I reached my limit, I called to Ladybug.

"Hey! I'm ready!"

She nodded and swung from her yo-yo, landing in front of me. She gave me the EMP mine and smiled.

"Ready?" She asked.

"No, but let's do this." I said.

"Let her rip!" Ladybug called as I launched myself at them.

Wifi-Mecha tried to grab me, but I dodged and threw the mine at its torso, stunning it and shocking Lady Wifi's phone. She tried to turn it back on, but I slingshot myself towards her, kicking her off the kaiju and sending her plummeting to the ground. Ladybug managed to catch her whilst her phone crashed onto the ground. I managed to remove the Wifi symbol of the kaiju, revealing a purple feather. Ladybug caught the feather and the fleeing butterfly with her yo-yo and released them.

"Bye bye, little butterfly. Bye bye, feather." She said with a grin and tossed up the EMP mine, reverting the damage and turning Lady Wifi into her civilian form.

"There are better ways to vent your anger. Using it to wreak a city is not one of them." I said as Alya stood up and glared at us.

"Then blame Marinette for not accepting my apology." She said in anger.

Your half assed apology, more like. I thought.

"Blaming others for your actions isn't going to make things better. You need to learn to move on and accept that Marinette will never be your friend." Ladybug said.

"What do you know!? You pushed away Chat Noir to the point he never shows up! You even push me away whenever I want an interview with you! On top of that, you allowed yourself to be akumatized!" Alya shouted.

"At least I wasn't seduced by Lila's lies! If you hadn't been so enchanted by her tales, then maybe Marinette would've forgiven you! That's why the Ladyblog is shut down, the Kitty Section disbanded and why all of you have been blacklisted by Paris!" Ladybug counter angrily.

The crowd gasped and murmured as Alya was taken aback by Ladybug's response. She latched her yo-yo onto a ledge and swung away. I followed her and saw her sitting in the alleyway, sobbing her eyes out while her kwami, Tikki comforted her. Ever since I found out that Marinette and Ladybug are the same person, she's told me a lot about the miraculous and their kwamis, the inhabitants of the miraculous. 

I sat next to her and gave her a hug.

"Alya's right. It's my fault Lila became who she is now. It's my fault that she got akumatized. I even allowed myself to get akumatized just to get my revenge on her." She said, wiping away the tears.

"Hey, don't let her get to you. She's bitter about you not forgiving her. You did what you thought was right."I replied.

"Yeah. Still, I wonder if I'm the cause of Chat Noir being distant." Marinette said.

"That's on him. Still, I'm here. And your friends. Forget the akuma class." I responded.

Marinette nodded and stood up.

"I'll see if I can catch him tonight during patrol. See you then?" She said.

"Count on it." I replied as I winked at her and web zipped away.

Something tells me that Chat Noir's not going to give up the miraculous without a fight. If so, then I'd better get ready. I thought to myself.
