Marinette POV

"Wait? You were almost kidnapped?" I gasped after Shayne told me what happened.

He nodded as he took a bite out of his cheese and ham sandwich during lunch. Shayne explained to us why he was late for the last 2 periods, meaning that he had to stay behind after school to catch up with the class.

"Just a group of men in suits stalked me on the way to school while I was talking to one of my friends back in New York.  Don't know why though." He said with a shrug.

"As if the threats weren't bad enough, we got people trying to kidnap high schoolers. Ever since the Lila incident, we've been wading in a pool of trouble." Luka sighed.

I nodded and glanced at Adrien, who was sitting with The Akuma Class. As soon as he saw me, he flashed a lustful smile at me, causing me to look away in disgust. Suddenly, I thought back to the times when Adrien's been handing me the gifts and the times Chat Noir's been stalking me.

It suddenly hit me.

So I was right. Adrien is Chat Noir. I thought.

"Shayne, come with me. We need to talk." I said as I tugged Shayne away from the desk by the arm before he could eat his chocolate bar.

As we entered the changing room, I looked around to see if we were alone.

"Ok. What is it you want to talk to me about?" He asked.

"I think I know who Chat Noir is." I said.

"Ok, shoot." He replied.

"It's Adrien. Adrien's been stalking me as Chat Noir at night. He's the one who's been handing me gifts and sending me those voicemails. He never shows up to fight the akuma because he's always hatching a plan to win me over." I said to him.

"No wonder he was so desperate. My money's on him that he's the guy who sent the men in black to go after me." Shayne added.

"Yeah. It would make sense." I replied with a nod.

"What's the plan?" Shayne asked.

"I'll discuss this with Master Fu. Obviously, he'll have to relinquish the cat miraculous from him and ensure he never gets his hands on it again." I replied.

"He won't give it up without a fight." He said in a worrisome tone.

"Then, we'll take it by force." I replied.

"I like the way you think." Shayne said with a smirk.

Suddenly, we heard footsteps from outside and the sound of chatting. I cursed as I realised that we entered the girls changing room.

"Shayne, you'd better get out of here before-." I was about to say until I realised that he was gone.

Right. Invisibility.  Forgot about that. I thought with a chuckle as I slipped out of the changing room.
