With Lila exposed and punished, Marinette can enjoy her double life in peace. However, a certain black cat wants to win back his lady and get rid of a certain spider who is in his way.
For the last couple of weeks, Marinette has been given gifts by Adrien along with love letters and voicemails. Each of which became more and more threatening than the last. I was also given a lot of threatening calls from anonymous callers. I've been trying to track them down with Max's help, but so far we kept running into dead ends, much to our dismay.
Even during patrols, I had to step in and stop Chat Noir, who finally made an appearance ever since Black Widow, from stalking Marinette.
"I just don't get it. Why would Adrien suddenly have an interest in Marinette? Even after he neglected her for weeks?" I asked.
"Maybe he realised his mistake and wanted to make amends?" My friend Miles answered via my phone.
Miles and I have been friends ever since middle school, but drifted apart when we went to different high schools. We later reunited when he and Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, saved me from Kingpin's men when I tried to investigate the death of my father. After Kingpin's defeat, we managed to stay in touch along with his friend, Ganke Lee.
"Doubt it. If he knew that Lila was lying, then he should've stepped up to defend her. The bastard decided to tell her to take the high road." I replied bitterly.
"Sounds like you're jealous? After all, you two kissed, right? What of she suddenly falls for him and ditches you?" Ganke teased.
"Ha ha." I replied sarcastically.
Suddenly, my spidey senses picked up and I looked behind me. A group of men in suits were rushing towards me.
"Stop right there!" The leader shouted.
"Shit!" I cursed and started running.
"What's going on, Shay!?" Miles asked.
"Someone's onto me!" I answered as I pushed past a group of people and jumped towards a banister, swung myself underneath and landed onto the ground.

"Who!?" Ganke asked.
"Can't talk. Call you later!" I replied and hung up as I darted into the alleyway, climbing over a gate and landing on the opposite side. As the men managed to climb over the gate, I quickly darted towards a drain pipe and climbed up to the rooftops, ignoring the stitch in my side as I kept running across the rooftops and leaping over gaps.
The chase continued until I stopped at the edge of a building with a large gap and a steep drop. Cursing, I looked back at the men who were panting as they advanced towards me from a distance.
No time to hesitate, Shayne. I thought as I took a running start and jumped over the large gap, flailing my arms and legs as I reached for the edge. Suddenly, gravity started to take over as I plummeted downwards. Suddenly, my body crackled with bio-electricity and I found myself pushed upwards towards the ledge. I quickly grabbed it and pulled myself upwards.
As I climbed up, I looked over at the men in black, who were astounded by what happened. With a smirk, I continued onwards until I reached the school via the rooftops until I landed behind the school.
"What just happened? One minute, I was falling. Next thing I know, I just zoomed upwards and caught the ledge like nothing happened." I said.
Did my bio-electricity act up, causing me to build momentum and dash upwards to the ledge.
I thought back to Miles' Venom powers and smirked
Guess going invisible and shocking others isn't the only thing I can do.
Adrien POV
"I'm sorry, sir. But, we lost him." The leader of the gang of thugs I hired said.
I hung up and cursed loudly. Thankfully, I didn't alert anyone, most especially my father. Plagg sighed and ate his cheese.
"Just give it up. She loves Shayne, obviously." He said.
"No, I can still turn things around in my favour." I said, grinning madly.
