With Lila exposed and punished, Marinette can enjoy her double life in peace. However, a certain black cat wants to win back his lady and get rid of a certain spider who is in his way.
I opened my eyes and found myself in a dojo. My suit was removed and my web shooters were broken from the fall. I looked to my left and saw an old man sitting next to her with a cup in his hands.
"Here, drink this. It'll make you feel better." He said as he offered me the cup.
"Thank you." I said as I took the cup.
I drank it, coughing in disgust. The drink tasted bitter, but I felt my body regaining some strength lost during the fight against Chat Blanc.
"What happened? How did I get here?" I asked.
"I saw you fall from the roof and took you to my shop. It wasn't easy carrying you because of your weight and my age." The old man said with an embarrassed smile.
"Umm, thanks. You're the old man that Mari- I mean, Ladybug was talking about?" I replied.
"Yes. Wang Fu, guardian of the miraculous and the one who created Ladybug and Chat Noir. Well, it seems that I may have made an error in giving the miraculous to Adrien Agreste, seeing that his actions have caused a lot of problems for everyone." He said.
"So it seems. The name's Shayne. Shayne Gibson." I said as I got up.
"I am aware that you and Spider-X are the same person. And I can see why." He replied.
"Yeah, well. Let's just say that getting these powers and fighting crime as a spider based vigilante comes with a serious case of backlash, fans and enemies. Anyway, I'm going after Chat Blanc to save Ladybug." I said as I looked at my damaged suit and web shooters.
"I'm sorry, but your gear was damaged from the fall and I had to cut away your suit in order to stitch up your wound." Fu said.
"It'll take me a month to repair these. The suit's no problem though." I said.
"Perhaps I can give you something to help you. I can assure you, it will help you." The old man said as he presented me a chinese box, the same one that Marinette has.
"Are you sure? You don't know me." I asked.
"Marinette has told me a lot about you. And despite what Jonah said, you are a hero. And, you've earned my trust. So, yes. I am sure." He replied.
I nodded and took the box. As I opened it, I saw a pair of bracelets with a red spider symbol on its base.

A ball of light appeared and showed me a black spider like figure with red eyes flying in front of me, heaving a yawn.

"What year is this? Where am I?" It asked.
As soon it saw me, its jaw dropped.
"Who are you and what happened to my former holder?" It asked.
"Nikki, this is the present." Fu said.
"Oh, Sorry. I've been asleep for a long time. Where are my manners? My name is Nikki, the spider kwami of imprisonment. I can give my wielder the powers of a spider-themed hero." The figure explained.
"Shayne Gibson. AKA Spider-X." I said.
"Spider-X, huh? Not a bad name.I was thinking of Kid Arachnid or Spider-Man." Nikki replied.
"Anyway, I think it's time we save Ladybug, yeah?" I said as I put on the bracelets.
"Your wounds haven't healed yet." Nikki said in concern.
"I heal quickly. Now, what do I have to say in order to transform?" I replied.
The red eyed Kwami looked at Fu, who nodded in encouragement. Nikki smiled and faced me.
"Alright. Just say, Nikki, Webs Out." She said.
"Ok then. Nikki, Webs Out!" I called.
In a flash of light, I found myself wearing a black and red hooded jumpsuit with grey gloves and a black mask with red eyes. On my torso is a red spider symbol and the bracelets turned red while the spider logo turned black.

"Woah. So this is insane." I said with a grin.
"You haven't seen anything yet." A voice said in my head.
"Nikki, is that you?" I called.
"Yeah. Since you transformed, I can communicate with you telepathically. Since you're experienced with the whole Spider superhero thing, I'll give you the quick version. Ensnare is my power, I have a danger sense that reacts to danger, enhanced vision and to swap back say webs in. You got that?" She said.
"Yup. Got it. Now, let's kick Chat Blanc's ass." I replied and web zipped out of the back window and into the streets of Paris, searching for Chat Blanc. I landed on a building and looked around.
"Spider-X! Down here!" A voice called.
I hopped down to street level in front of a group of civilians.
"We saw Chat Blanc head to the Eiffel Tower with Marinette Dupain-Cheng. He's holding her hostage." One of them explained.
"That must mean that he knows that Ladybug's secret identity." Nikki said.
"I'll head there now. You guys find a place to hide." I replied and made my way to The Tower.
