Adrien POV
I sat on the roof of a building, waiting for Ladybug to show up. Since Marinette wasn't in her room, due to her staying over at a friend's house. After an hour of waiting, Ladybug arrived.
"Chat. We need to talk." She said.
"Yes, Milady. We do. I don't like the fact that you're with Spider-X. You barely know him and yet you've become so smitten with him." I replied.
"And what of you and Lila? Did you visit her so that you could make me jealous? Well, too bad. You failed." She said scathingly.
I tutted and looked away from her. I noticed that Spider-X wasn't here and smiled.
"So, the webslinger's not here. Maybe he decided to jump ship." I said.
Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my neck and fell to my knees. In front of me was Spider-X reappearing in front of me, arms crossed and scowling at me.
"Or maybe he was here the whole time, Alley Cat." He replied.
"Nobody asked you to be here, Webhead! Get lost!" I shouted as I got up.
"Actually, I wanted him to come. Chat, I've been hearing that you've been stalking Marinette ever since Lila Rossi was exposed. This needs to stop." Ladybug said.
"What do you care? You've been with Spider-X from the moment he showed up. I thought it was about us, Milady. I guess I was the only one who thought that. So what if I'm stalking Marinette?" I replied.
"You don't show up when the akuma attacks and you're stalking the very person you told you to take the high road. Yeah, it's safe to say that you don't deserve to use the cat miraculous." Spider-X added.
"Chat, give me your miraculous. You're done." Ladybug said as she reached for my ring.
I swiped my claw at her, forcing her back. Spider-X caught her and fired his web shooters at me, but I managed to dodge them and dived into an alleyway. I looked up as the duo tried to look for me. With a scoff, I sat down on the ground.
What does Ladybug see in that web head? I mean, he kissed Marinette and then kissed her. He's been bouncing between one girl to the next. He doesn't deserve her.
As I was trapped in my thoughts, I didn't notice an akuma flying towards my bell. Hawkmoth's symbol appeared on my face.
"Chat Blanc. I am Hawkmoth. Your love of your life has abandoned you and sided with the menace, Spider-X. I can help you get your revenge. In return, you must give me your miraculous along with Ladybug's. Is that a deal?" His voice whispered in my head.
A smile played on my lips.
"As you wish, Hawkmoth."
