Marinette POV
A week has passed ever since the fall of Chat Blanc. I, as Ladybug, announced that Chat Noir retired and will no longer defend Paris. Adrien recovered from his injuries, stating that my thoughts about him being Chat Noir were correct. After some convention from Shayne and my friends, including threatening him with a restraining order, he decided to back off and no longer stalk me. He also has no memory of his time as Chat Noir or the fact that Ladybug and I are the same person.
Master Fu explained to me that he is aware of Spider-X's identity and has given him the Spider Miraculous of Imprisonment, much to my relief.
"So, we're in the clear?" Shayne asked me on the phone.
"Yeah. Adrien won't be bothering us anymore." I replied.
"Good. Using my Inazuma Blast really tore me up. I'm gonna feel sore for weeks." He said.
I giggled at his comment and smiled.
"So, how's Nikki treating you?" I asked.
"She's great. Though, she's constantly poking around my old costumes and gear. Thankfully, she and I have the same powers. Spider senses, invisibility and producing webs. Well, she has organic webbing so, there's that. But, she really loves chocolate. I had to use up half my pocket money to buy a dozen chocolate bars. At this rate, I'm gonna need a part time job." Shayne replied.
"That's nice." I said, stifling a yawn. "I'd better go and get some sleep before Ms Bustier and Principal Rose reports me for sleeping in class."
"Yeah. I'd better go too. Night, Sugarbug." He said.
"Good night, Webs." I replied and hung up.
"You're lucky to meet someone like Shayne, Marinette." Tikki said to me.
"Yeah. I am." I said with a grin.
