With Lila exposed and punished, Marinette can enjoy her double life in peace. However, a certain black cat wants to win back his lady and get rid of a certain spider who is in his way.
"So, are you sure that you and Spider-X aren't a thing?" Chloe asked me during our free period.
"No. He and I are just friends. Nothing more." I replied with a sigh.
"Didn't stop you when you decided to lock lips with him." Luka teased.
I blushed and looked away. I looked up and saw Shayne dressed in a red zipped up jacket, dark blue jeans and black and white high tops. He looked over at me and winked while flashing a smile. My cheeks turned red as I groaned in dismay.
Why does he have to be so cute? I thought.
"Ah yes. Your one true love, Shayne Gibson. No wonder you regarded Spider-X as a friend." Kagami said with a smirk.
I elbowed her in the arm. Suddenly, Alya and the others arrived and advanced towards us. Ivan glared at Shayne, who stuck out his tongue in a taunting manor. Mylene held back Ivan before he could lash out.
"What do you losers want?" Chloe asked.
"We want to apologise for not believing you about Lila. We should've known that Lila was a liar and hoped that you'd be our friend again." Alya said, not meeting my eyes. The others nodded in agreement.
I looked over at Shayne, who nodded at me with encouragement. I looked back at the group and replied.
"No. I don't think so. However, I'll forgive Nino, Juleka and Rose."
"What? Why!?" Mylene cried.
"Because they apologised for their actions while you waited a whole month to do so. Nino was right to break up with you, Alya. And you guys never knew that Rose and Juleka were blackmailed. We did thanks to Max and Alix. You guys ate up all of Lila's lies and kept begging for more. You even bullied me harshly behind Ms Bustier's back, goading me to end my life. If I hadn't had my friends and parents supporting me, I'd be dead by now." I said.
"You can't do this! You can't just push us away!" Kim roared.
"As a matter of fact, she can. You just pushed her to do so. The chances of Marinette forgiving you are 0%." Max replied scathingly.
"Not to mention, you guys got me kicked out of the school for defending Marinette. You did it out of spite because I defended your punching bag." Shayne added.
"You even cheered when Marinette ran out of the school crying. What friend does that?" Alix included.
"But, we're your friends." Alya said.
"Friends don't ditch each other for the next big thing, Alya. Too bad you realised it was too late." Nino replied.
While the group looked down in dismay, Alya looked furious and stormed out of the class, slamming the door in anger.
"Well, that happened." Chloe said with a grin.
"How are things with you and Sabrina?" I asked.
"We're getting there. Slowly, but surely." She replied.
"By the way. I never knew what Lila used to blackmail Juleka and Rose. What was it?" Shayne asked.
Rose and Juleka blushed and looked away from each other. Alix twiddled his thumbs while Max cleared his throat. Chloe suddenly became interested in her phone while I fixed my hair.
"Geez, was it that bad?" Shayne asked.
"You have no idea." Max replied.
"Was it a shrine of Spider-X?" He asked.
"No." We replied with a deadpan stare.
"Oh." He said in dismay.
Suddenly, a loud explosion occurred outside the school, startling everyone. Shayne quickly tackled Chloe and I out of the way as a large sphere blasted our seats.
"What the hell was that!?" Ivan shouted.
"Everyone, out!" Ms Bustier called as everyone exited the class while Shayne and I snuck into the changing room.
"My guess is Alya." Shayne said as he pulled off outdoor clothes and revealed a red, black and white suit with matching gloves, red boots and a matching mask with white eye slits. The suit also has a black hood over it.

"Nice suit." I said with a smirk as I swapped to Ladybug.
"Thanks. Made it myself." He said as he pulled on his mask.
