It's monday. It's officially her first day in the office. She wore a white corset, black wide leg pants and black suit and her lucky louboutin heels.
"Goodmorning din po manang. Where's dad?" Tanong niya sa mayordoma
"Nasa library iha, pinapasabing down ka dumiretso pagkatapos mo mag agahan" imporma nio sakanya
"Pwede ho bangi pag dala niyo na lang ako ng vanilla latte sa library?" Tumango ang matanda at nginitian niya ito. Nag lakad siya papunta sa library ng ama at kumatok bago pumasok.
"Goodmorning iha. Did u had your breakfast already?" Bati ng ama habang nag babasa ng dyaryo. such an old school for an old man.
"Dad, you have iPad to use for reading newspapers or magazines why don't you use it?" Sita into sa ama
"I may own a big company but i'm too old para pag atalanta pang gamin yan.."
Narining nilang kumatong ang mayordoma bago dahan-dahang pumasok at nilapag ang kape nya. "So what's our agenda this morning dad?" Walang paligoy-ligoy na tanong niya
She heard the door closed before her father open a drawer behind him and pass it to her.
"What's this?" tanong niya sa ama habana inabot niya ang kape at sinimsim
"Akala mo ba nakalimutan ko na ang napagkasunduan natin?"
"But I thought we're good already? You gave me a major stocks and the new heiress of the company. Why do we still need that?" Kunot noo niyang tanong sa ama. Buong akala niya ay okay na ang lahat. Ngunit mukhang nagkakamali siya.
"A deal is a deal Blaire. As the new CEO you should know that. Never back down from an agreement.." Giit ng ama
"So you're saying that your future grandchild is a business deal?"
"Whatever you want to call it iha. I want a grandchild before my 60th birthday.Now leave my library and go to work. You have a lot of things to do today."
"Wait - what?! That's like 3 months from now! Are you kidding me?"
"Nopeeee. Now go away. I have a meeting with your ninong at the golf club. Ciao bella." He kissed my cheek and went out
"You've got to be kidding me! This is not what I expect for my 1st day!" Napasabunot siya sa sarili at huminga ng malalim tsaka lumabas ng library.
"Kumusta?" Tanong ni manang sakaniya na sinabayan siya papunta sa pintuan. Napailing na lang siya at impit na ngumiti.
"Magiging maayos din ang lahat iha. Alam kong kaya mong solusyonan lahat ng bagay."
"Sana nga manang, sana nga." Hinawakan niya ang kamay ng matanda at sumakay na din siya sa kotse kung saan maghahatid sakainya sa opisina.
After 30mins ay dumating na siya sa opisina. Monday traffic. She's definitely back in manila. The staffs greeted her with smiles on their faces, and she do the same. Kasa-kasama niya ang driver niya na si Dennis hanggang pag akyat ng opisina as he is also her body guard. Dad is over proctective.
Pinag buksan siya ng pintuan at nag antay na lang ito sa labas.
She was greeted with a clean and minimalist office, just like she requested. The flooring is wood finish. Light brown finish for the walls and on her right L shape floor to ceiling glass to glass with a view. She has small conference / dining area in case she needed a private meeting. A private bathroom, with shower, toilet and lavatory with every product she uses.
Naupo siya sa kulay white niyang swivel chair at hinimas ang narra na table. She requested a not perfect shape table. On the back of her chair is a long filing drawer in wood frame also for her files. And a big logo of their company on top of it. There's also a big tv in front of her that's playing her father's legacy. A lot of big and famous villages and schools in the country were developed by their company.
May mahinang kumatok sa pinto at sumili ang kanyang secretary.
"Goodmorning Ms.Snow, Is everything okay? May nakalimutan po ba ako sa design or anything u want to add to your offfice?"
"Goodmorning Andrea, please call me Blaire. Para akong tumatanda sa tawag mo sakin. And yes, everything is perfect. Thank you." Ngiti niya sa dalaga. She's probably 2yrs younger than her.
"I'm sorry Ms.Snow but that's our protocol and we're not comfortable with first name basis with the executives mam." Alanganing sagot sakaniya ng dalaga.
"Okay okay. Whatever makes you comfortable Andrea" She smiled to her
"Here's the list of the executives that u will meet on your meeting in 30mins ma'am. Some are old and familiar but also new to our comapany. I also attached their profile and photo for reference."
Napatango tango siya habang tinitignan ang listahan.
"Oh, is Vince will be the new replacement of Mr.Eduardo?" Alam niya ay nasa resort na niya ito
"Yes ma'am, but unfortunately he's not available today because of his schedule"
Conflict schedule my ass. That lazy guy, hindi na nag bago.
"The position of President says N/A. How come?"
"Ah, ibinenta po kasi ni Mr.Hart yung shares niya at nabili po iyon ng bagong stock holder"
"How come dad didn't told me?"
"They just signed the papers last night ma'am. I just got the memo this morning"
Napa tango ako at nag lakad papunta sa conference room kung saan nag hihintay ang mga shareholders at board members. Pag pasok ko ng pinto ay naka ngiting bumati ang mga tao.
"Goodmorning Ms.Snow"
"Congratulations Ms.Snow"
Sabay sabay nilang bati.
"Thank you everyone, please do seat down and relax" I smiled to them and sat on my swivel chair
"Please call me Blaire.I'm looking forward with all of you.Now let's start our productive meeting.."
"Uhh Excuse me, Blaire?" Taas kamay ni Mr. Hermosa
"Yes Mr.Hermosa?"
"We can't start without the new president" Saad nito.
"Oh, I was brief just now by my secretary that Mr.Hart is no longer the president of the company"
Napatango - tango ang matanda at mukhang alam naman ng lahat dahil hindi na sila nagulat. Am I the only one who didn't get the memo? "Yes, yes it's gonna be -- "
Bumukas ang pinto ng conference room at pumasok ang lalaking naka navy blue suit. Matangkad. Matipuno ang katawan. Green eyes at may pamilyar na malalim na boses.
"Goodmorning everyone. I'm sorry i'm late Ms.Snow or should I call you blaire?"
Narinig kong bati ng mga tao sakanya. Pero para akong napako sa aking upuan. His face, his presence, his voice and smell. It came running back to my memories.Narinig ko na lang nag papalpakan ang mga tao at unti-unti siyang lumapit sa akin. He lowered his head that made me gulp.
"It's nice to see you again baby. I can't wait to work with you boss" Bulong niya sa tenga ko na kami lang dalawa ang nakarinig at nag lakad papunta sakanya upuan.
"Wait, what? You're the president?"
Ngumisi lang ito at kinindatan ako.
"Welcome to Snow Enterprises Mr. Blaze Conde"
