Chapter 76

Clara's parents arrived a couple of hours later, anxious to see Clara and meet their grandsons. When they arrived Clara was sleeping, recovering from her big exertion, and the babies were tucked away in the nursery. The grandparents admired the boys from the window while the nurse told them the boys had both cried after being taken from Clara, but settled when they were placed in the same bassinet together. So now they were snuggled up next to each other with their big shocks of hair sticking straight up.

When they went to check on Clara again about 30 minutes later they found her awake. "Hi mom and dad, did you see the boys? Aren't they beautiful?"

"Yes sweetheart, they really are. It must have been so hard to be alone for the birth, I'm so sorry we weren't here for you. But the doctor said you did a wonderful job. We're so proud of you."

Clara blushed and then offered to call the nurse so they could bring the boys and the grandparents could see them up close. While they were waiting Clara's father received a text notification from Namjoon. "Looks like their flight has been cleared, they will be on their way back to Seoul within the hour."

Clara sighed with relief. She and the boys need Taehyung, and she couldn't wait until the four of them were all snuggled together.

By the time Taehyung came running into the hospital room it was quite late at night. His first sight was Clara sitting in a rocking chair, the dim light illuminating their son who was feeding. It was a beautiful sight, and Taehyung hardly wanted to interrupt the peaceful moment. But when she heard him, Clara looked up and broke into a huge grin with teary eyes.

"Hey daddy, come and meet your son."

"Our son" Taehyung corrected her with a smile as he quietly came closer. The little boy was tucked in close to his mother, and Taehyung used the opportunity to gently stroke his cheek, watching him scrunch his nose at the interruption.

"This is your little tiger. He was born first." Clara gently removed him from her breast. Ensuring he remained tightly wrapped in his blanket, she offered the boy to his father so they could bond too.

"He's so little." Taehyung stared at the tiny baby. "How is he so little?"

Clara felt truly at peace, Taehyung was back, her boys were doing well, and they were finally all together.

"His brother will be here in just a few minutes. I can't hold them both at once yet, so they bring them one at a time to feed."

Clara had just finished talking when the nurse arrived with a second boy. While she seemed surprised to see Taehyung she quickly schooled her features and asked Clara if she'd like to send the first baby back to the nursery. "No, we will keep them both here for now, thank you".

The nurse showed Taehyung how the chair could turn into a small bed where he could sleep if he'd like, but Taehyung was far to excited to even consider the possibility. While still holding his firstborn tight he came closer to see the other twin, who was now nestling into Clara's chest.

Taehyung had never felt so at peace. After the incredible stress of the day, everything suddenly felt very right. He hadn't thought he could possibly love Clara more but at the moment he was totally head over heels. And the two perfect boys they held in their arms were the best gift he had ever received. He wanted nothing more than to give his little family the world, and he would spend every day proving his love for them.

The only problem he had at the moment was that he desperately wanted to hold all of them at once and his arms were only so big. He moved to adjust the hospital bed so the back was upright and invited Clara to bring their little cub and sit between his legs. After she was situated, he gently reached around and laid their little tiger on her lap securely supported between Clara's legs. From here he could wrap one arm around Clara's waist, helping her hold onto the baby that was still feeding, while the other arms extended out he could gently caress the baby who had drifted off to sleep after his comforting meal at his wife's breast.

Taehyung never wanted this moment to end. Everything truly was perfect.
