(Y/n) returned to 12 Grimmauld Place with the emaciated form of her cousin floating behind her. He'd passed out right as they had reached the fireplace.
"Kreacher! Get Sirius!" She called out.
"No need, Cissa flooed and he went over there. What's happening?" Walburga's portrait answered from her place on the landing.
"Aside from my being under compulsions and blocks: I was lied to about who the father of the twins is, Dumbledore is likely behind it, I made the Dark Lord whole again, and I've dragged a prodigal back home."
"Excuse me?"
"Remember the brown marble Reggie used to play with? Well, he or Ceres put a soul sucking curse on it that releases only when the owner of the soul is holding it. Must've gave it to Harry before the events of second year."
"What was that about a prodigal?" Walburga sounded miffed.
"Mother is coming over for Regulus. Didn't Sirius tell you?"
"Tell me what? What happened to Regulus? Why is he here instead of-" the painting got cut off by Kreacher stumbling out of the sitting room.
"Mistress, Master Regulus is back. He's back." The old thing was nearly sobbing in joy.
"My Regulus, my baby is back?" If portraits could cry a river, Walburga's would've.
The sound of the floo caught their attention.
"Here isn't secure enough anymore." Sirius swept in before continuing. "We need to get to the Manor. The wards are stronger there and it's unplottable. I'm not letting that old goat come into your home unannounced ever again."
"The Black Manor does have wards that rival Hogwarts." Walburga nodded in a approval. "Might want to take me along since I refuse to deal with him."
"You're just saying that because you don't want to find out if portraits can be sent to Azkaban." Sirius muttered.
"This isn't the time." (Y/n) huffed gaining their attention. "I imagine Mother has already taken the ill there?"
"No, she took him to Malfoy Manor. I just-" Sirius was brimming with worry.
"Severus has already come up with a long term plan, how's your Occulmancy? Dumbledick enjoys sifting through other's minds and we don't need him to learn of it."
"You can't expect me to be a spy." Sirius's face twisted in indignation.
"I do, Severus can only do so much." (Y/n) very much wanted this mess to be over with.
"There's only so little a fugitive can do, Puff." The older of the two sighed.
"My father is going to make an inquiry with the DMLE about your lack of trial. Something that is far long over due."
"It's strange, hearing you call him that." Sirius muttered.
"Imagine how we both feel about it." She sighed. "I've got to return to Hogwarts after making sure Gus is going to pull through and-"
"Getting to see him breathing is blessing enough Puff." Sirius interrupted her with a hand on her shoulder. "Cissa is likely to keep you updated on his condition. He wouldn't want you to be under more scrutiny."
"Right, once you're free, look into the Dursleys. Poppy should provide Harry's records should you ask, use them as grounds to investigate with the use of Veritaserum. Cite the fact that they've likely gotten away with the maltreatment had you not been concerned for the well-being of your fellow Lord."
"Add on the fact I'm said Lord's godfather and there's no reason to believe my concern ill placed." Sirius nodded along. "How weren't you in Slytherin?"
