The next morning (y/n) woke up in a cuddle pile made up of her children on one side and Severus on her other. She smiled softly at the peace around her before turning to look at the man holding her. Her eyes met with his and a soft "Morning." left her as she took in all of his face.
"Morning." The potions master's morning voice made a pleased shudder roll down her back. "It seems that Black has escaped once more."
"I had nothing to do with it." She huffed a bit miffed that he didn't trust her not to be.
"I know, you were in my arms all night." Severus gave her a reassuring squeeze.
(Y/n) sighed into his chest. The moment between them interrupted by the growling of her stomach. Causing her to still in confusion, there wasn't much danger this year so why did her body act like she hadn't eaten in weeks.
"It wasn't as loud as you think, besides you were all over the forest chasing a werewolf, a fugitive, and a pair of brainlessly foolish buffoons that don't seem to care about their own well-being with no dinner. Given the circumstances your hunger is justified." Severus hummed the usually hard lines of his face softened for her.
"Justified or not, it had poor timing." She muttered.
A knock on her bedroom door stopped their conversation there.
"Mom, Professor, sorry to interrupt whatever but I got breakfast sent here so we could all eat together before the summer holiday. Since today is the last day of classes and someone is on train duty tomorrow and we won't get this chance for some time, I thought it would be great." Joan's voice sounded on the other side of the door, jolting the twins awake.
"Pancakes!" The pair shot off through the door with a cheer.
"Sometimes I wonder if either of them have anything else on their minds." Severus huffs as he eases out of bed and starts putting on his robes after refreshing them.
"To be fair Joan makes damn good pancakes." (y/n) followed his lead and retrieved her clothes not noticing how he stiffened as she changed.
A growl sounded from his general direction.
"Breakfast might have to wait." She felt his gaze on her turn primal before Joan knocked on the door again causing the pair to freeze.
"Ceres said that there's no- do I really have to say this?" They paused as if getting confirmation. "Fine. Ceres said there's no adult potions anywhere in that room and that you should reconsider doing any adult activities when two children with the unfortunate gift of knowing are just down the corridor. They'd like to not be present in any form for that."
And the spontaneous mood was thusly killed before it could properly settle and fill either of their bones.
Severus deflated and looked away from her before he could be tempted once again.
(y/n) dressed quickly and then wrapped her arms around the dour man's waist from behind, pressing her face into his back as she did so. Her actions earned a pleased grumble from the oversized bat that rummbled through his chest and made her smile against him. Severus turned around in her grip and pressed a kiss to the top of her head before pulling her to breakfast by a gentle grip of her wrist.

That morning, a rather distraught, rather, nervous Draco entered her office and sat down quietly, amlost making (y/n) look out the window to see if pigs were flying since he didn't start complaining about Harry the first chance he had. She instead wordlessly poured him some tea and waited for him to be ready to share.
