Would somebody like to explain what the hell is going on? Really, I'm angry and very offended by this. I put DLWL up on here, like any author posts anything online, on a trust basis. That's been broken. This is outright theft of my work. It's not even the first time it's happened to me (though it is the first time it's happened to DLWL).
"Here" (Wattpad), "AFF", "under the same username" and "nowhere else" means exactly that. This was obviously stolen from Wattpad. It's plagiarism. Passing off somebody's work as your own is plagiarism. Reproducing it, in part or in whole, without persmission, is plagiarism. You can't get around it by attributing it to the actual author because you still do not have their permission. Attributing something to the actual author is when you quote it under the fair use act of the country where the writing is issued. In this case, it's Canada, because Wattpad is hosted in Canada, or possibly the UK since I'm a UK citizen posting from the UK. That means that this piece is subject to the laws of Canada and possibly the UK, and I can tell you right now that plagiarising it is in contravention of the laws of both countries.
To be honest, too, the fact that I don't speak Vietnamese should be a dead giveaway that I didn't post it.
Also, just as a note to the plagiariser, I've seen shoddy plagiarising before, but putting it up with only the first page of each chapter? I have no words. That's like breaking into a bank safe and only taking ten dollars when there are ten thousand.
Anyway, I am not going to be finishing or continuing DLWL until this is removed and the plagiariser has apologised. Even then, I don't know if I'm going to finish writing it at all. I'm in a really bad mood right now.
You have no excuse for plagiarism. "I didn't know" is not an excuse when I asked people not to plagiarise and said that this was only going to be posted here and on AFF. That automatically precludes anybody else reposting any part of it anywhere.
If you're really that desperate to share it with somebody, post a link back to one of the original version. Or, alternatively, ask me nicely for permission.
