chp. 12

They arrived at a destination. A neighborhood?

"Wait what? What are we doing here" Jay woke up with widened eyes, looking at Selene who was getting her things ready. "Let's go explore some houses, hmh?" She replied and hopped out the driver's seat. She closed the door, making Niki and Jay look at eachother. They both shrugged and got out of the car at the same time.

She handed them some gloves, hand sanitizer, and a mask. "Explore anywhere you want, I'll meet you in.." she checked the time, "6:00" and with that she left. Niki went the opposite direction as Jay was just stranded in the middle of the road. He sighed and decided to head off to a random house.

Selene began wondering with her dog who doesn't have a leash anymore. She found it useless that Titó has a leash, so she took it off him. She examined the area. Cars placed nearly beside the sidewalk, a couple of papers on the street, dust flying everywhere, just looks neatly abandoned.

She kept deciding which one to go to, until she found one. It was a neat, 2 story house, and a small front porch. She then put on her gloves, and mask. She then took a deep exhale, closing her eyes before putting her hand on the door nob.

She quietly opened the door, which made a small creak. "That sound is so annoying" and fully went inside the house. She let Titó go, who began sniffing everywhere, letting him free. She chuckled and examined a bit.

The kitchen was all messy, dishes not washed, empty refrigerators, cockroaches walking through the cabinets, and so on. She then moved into the living room. It was messy but not so messy.

The couches were a bit displaced, the cushions slightly ripped, carpet slightly dirty, blanket resting on top of the coffee table, and more. "Looks like someone went insane in here.. poor kid" she frowned and put her hands on her waist and did a 360 of the whole living room.

As she was intrigued into exploring, Titó came in behind her and pulled her shirt with his teeth.

"Huh? What is it boy?" She questioned kneeling down to his height. He began walking up the stairs. She crushed her eyebrows, confused but ignored it and followed him. She then began walking up the stairs, seeing him in front of a room.

She quietly tiptoed over there, taking a peak to see a figure that was crying on the bed. He seemed to be holding something. Probably like 2 photo frames. He had black hair and milky skin.

He saw the dog of course, but he didn't see a young girl that was keeping an eye on him. She muttered against her mouth and opened her phone. She hissed "5:50" and put her phone away in the back pocket.

"Titó, come here boy" she gestured to him "go find Niki and Jay.. I think that's his name? but go find them and bring them here" she told her dog, whispering as he walked away from her, to go look for Jay and Niki. She then watched as her dog left her alone, stranded alone in the hallway, with the teary boy.

A couple of minutes later, Titó and the 2 of them arrived. "This house seems oddly familiar" Jay said to Niki as he nodded. "He's in there" she pointed to the door next to her, petting her dog as a 'Good Job'. They both nodded, quietly and softly knocked on the door.

The crying boy turned to where the sound came from and saw 2 familiar faces, but he ignored it thinking it was fake and hallucinations. Jay and Niki then began walking towards him and smiled. "Sunoo-yah?" The kid turned his head quickly, looking to see who called his name. "it's okay.. where here now" Niki said smiling at him and sitting on his bed.

"W.. What?" He put the photo frames down and grabbed onto his bear, squeezing it. "You guys said my n-name" he slightly smiled and immediately hugged him. He was sobbing in tears now. Jay just stood there, looking at them like he was watching a romance movie.

"What brought you guys here?" He softly said breaking the hug from Niki sniffing. "Let's just say we went exploring a bit" Jay said with his arms crossed, smiling. Niki then looked behind him, seeing Selene showing leaning against the door frame.

She walked towards them, and smiled. "Hello" she told Sunoo who cheeky smiled at her. "Hi" he replied back, showing his dimples.

"I think you saw Titó" she told him bringing him in. "Yeah I did.. He went up to me and was really nice" he petted him as he wagged his tail. Jay scoffed "nice my ass tch" he said as Titó growled at him making Jay jump a bit. They all laughed at the 2.

"What now?" Sunoo got up from the bed and looked at 3 of them. "Picture time!" Selene grabbed the camera once like again, but this time is was just Sunoo, Jay, and Niki. Niki got confused and asked Selene, "wait, what 'bout you?" He crushed his eyebrows.

"It's fine, don't worry!" She placed her eye in the corner of the small frame, showing all 3 of them together, with Titó tagging along. "This should be your guys memory, not mine." She smiled, showing her dimples. "Okay guys in 3! 1.. 2.. 3!" Click.

The film came out completely adorable. Sunoo with his cute chubby cheeks and perfect smile, Niki with Titó, and jay putting up a peace sign. What a bond.

She placed the camera aside. "Wanna go out for a little adventure, Sunoo?" Selene asked him, smiling showing her dimples.

"Huh? Me?" Sunoo pointed to himself. They all nodded. "Well, heck yeah, let me just change real quick!" Sunoo happily said, jumping. They smiled at his cuteness and headed out the room to give Sunoo some privacy.

After a minute or some, he came out with just some black sweatpants, an oversized shirt and a bag with his things. He saw them waiting outside his room, being the first one to walk out before them.

"Let's start a new chapter." He said and walked with them.
