"Wake up lazyhead, we have school to go too" A sweet voiced poked out the door, talking to the girk whom was seen sleeping on her bed. She groaned, "No" the older sister replied, covering herself fully with the blanket. "Fine then I'll tell mom about the dude you kissed last night" she replied back, leaning against the door frame and crossing her arms.
She quickly uncovered herself and looked at her "I hate you" she said. "I love you too lazyhead" she smiled and kissed her forehead. "I love you too dork". she said, seeing her little sister walk out her room.
She then sat up and looked at her clock, "7:04" she mumbles and stretches. She yawned and got up from her bed, on the way to her closet to get her clothes to wear for school.
She went towards the bathroom for a quick shower. She wore a casual outfit for the day. Just a white long sleeve with black baggy pants and her converse. Nothing much.
Once she's done, she heads downstairs and notices how everything turned quiet.
"Hello?" She said almost yelling. She looks to her right then left, hoping to see her sister, her mom or the least her annoying brothers but .. Nothing. Just quiet?
"Eve? Ezra? Manuél? Mom? Hello?" She says, concerned. She felt goosebumps snake her skin at the quiet atmosphere. All you can hear is her breathing and that's it.
"Guys, mom stop playing a prank, this isn't funny!" she said yelled in a concern-yet-scared tone, wondering around the house. But nothing.
She leaned down to the couch seeing her dog Titó, sleeping peacefully on edge. She whispered, hopefully he would wake up. "T-Titó?" She looked at the dog, waiting for him to wake up. She smiled in relief as the dog opened its eyes and looked at her. "You're awake."
"Do you know where mom and the rest are at?" She said looking at her dog, but just received whine from him. "Why is it so quiet?" She thought about it until she decided to check around the house again.
She got up from the couch and looked around everywhere. The rooms, basement, attic, kitchen, through the windows. Everywhere but yet was nothing to be found. But with that, she eventually got tired and took a nap.
She then woke up later on and checked the time, "12:00" she said "Time went quickly.." She then got up and stumbled a bit, feeling dizzy. "Woah" she said.
She noticed everything was still the same. Quiet atmosphere, no honks or cars driving through the streets, no music playing or anything. She checked her phone and noticed a lot of notifications from her mom and siblings. [6 MISSED CALLS] [3 VOICES MAILS] [50 MESSAGES]
"Huh?", "why so many notifications?" She asked her dog like he's a person, but he just put his head down on her lap and looked away. She shrugged it off and opened the one she thought was more important. Mom.
[VOICEMAIL .1] Mom: "h-hey sweetheart! How are you doing? I'm doing fine .. *Distant yells* well um sweetie, I just wanted to let you know that I-I love you! I really do sweetie and stay safe! I love you and uh stay at home, hmh! Please .. Stay at home .. I love you." -beep-
"What?" She said and looked at her phone, then at her dog whom was seen looking at her. She then opened another voicemail.
[VOICEMAIL .2] Ezra, Manuèl: "hey loser, it's me, Ezra. look we'll be back home soon. If you're home, don't l-leave the house.", "It'll be okay Selene, I pinky promise you, just don't go out, okay?" Manuèl said who sounded next to Ezra, "We gotta go and see you soon. whatever happens, we love you little sis. Bye" -beep-
"W-what is going on?" She questioned it but decided to open to the last voicemail. Eve.
[VOICEMAIL .3] Eve: "Hey Selene, it's me Eve. Your sore loser. -chuckles- I just wanted to let you know I love you. I really do. Whatever you do, just stay at home. Don't come outside until you get news and fully notice that it's safe to go outside again. -distant screams- Um.. I g-gotta go now. I love you, Selene. Bye." -beep-
and that was the end.
Selene felt confused. "W-What news?" She checked her phone for the latest news until one caught her eye.
"Reported News! A dangerous virus has spread around our state. Stay home, stay safe, don't leave house until further notice."
Selene dropped her phone at the news, "W-What" she got up from the couch and shook her head rapidly. "T-This can't be happening.." She said almost whispering, panicking at the state. "This can't be happening.." and with that, her tears formed.
After crying, she decided to check the time once again, "3:00" and finally, laid down. She sighed while petting Titó, she whispered, "Everyone's gone?" she whispered again "but I have you" she kissed Titó's head, "but why them?" She looked up blankly infront of her.
Finally, with that, she stood sat on the couch.. In shock, confused, sorrow.. but mainly, Despair.
