Ariana's Trials

Part 6

3rd POV

Ariana had stayed in the Poseidon cabin and Jack just spent the night in Minnesota causing a freak blizzard. Many people throughout the camp had noticed the new kid and Ariana running around flirting, but no one commented. Most thought it was cute. Whenever the new couple wasn't teasing or playing tag, they sat in the corner and discussed how to defeat Pitch. Truly a match made in Elysium. quite a few other boys in the camp were disappointed, but by the end of the week, it had been accepted.

Ariana's POV

"Jack! let's go surfing!" I shouted

"NO! I have aquaphobia!" He shouted back. he was perched on his staff, which was firmly planted in the sand

"JACK!" I pleaded. he crumbled, then made two surfboards from ice. I grabbed one and started paddling out deeper, to better surf water before willing the water to make some nice big waves for us. Jack had no idea how to surf, and it ended up being "Teaching Jack how to surf" before it was time to surf. 

"I still have aquaphobia!" He shouted over the crash of a massive wave. We laughed as he fell off and I had to pull him out and back onto his surfboard. Moving through the huge tunnel of a crashing wave, we laughed and shared peaceful moments where I had no thoughts of my trials. I was sure taking down Aegir counted, and Pitch too apparently, so I assumed taking down my other torturer was the final trial. Jack noticed the look on my face

"Ariana? You okay?" We landed on the beach

"Yeah, just fine. Thinking about my trials. If I complete them, I get to be immortal" I said

"Like ME!" Jack squealed. I didn't know Jack could squeal like that.

"You're so cute when you're happy," I said, moving closer.

"I'm not cute, I'm cold, or icy or, I dunno" He threw his hands into the air.

"I think you're cute" I hugged him

"Okay." He submitted. I smiled. A small shadow solidified in the corner, and Nico came charging out, full blaze, sword first. I leaped out of the way and tugged Jack with me

"Go get Percy!" I told him, and he scooped up his staff and flew off. I pulled out my sword and charged Nico, trying to knock him out.

"Weak. Puny." Long wispy shadows trailed out of his mouth

"Come on, Nico! Dude, just chill out, have a glass of water, and Will snap you out of whatever hellish nightmare you're having!" I was shouting at him now

"If I kill you I get Bianca back." He whispers

"Well then, I guess I'll just have to come back to life and kill you and Bianca, who is living in Elysium!" I swung harder "After she nobly sacrificed herself to save everyone!"

"Bianca was killed by Perseus Jackson. I'll kill you then kill him" Nico howled, and three nightmares came out of his blade, charging toward me. I used the nearby sea to dissolve them. Note to self: Seawater kills nightmares. I punched Nico in the diaphragm to knock the wind out of him, and he sliced my arm. Note to self: Stygian iron cuts through jumpsuit. Jack came back with Percy, who had Will in tow.

"NNNNIIIIIIIIICCCCCCOOOOOO!" Will screamed "CCCOOOOOOOMEEEEEEE BAAAAAAACK TOOOOOO MMEEEEEE!" Nico, temporarily shocked by his boyfriend screaming at him, was open to being punched. I got him in the chest and he fell over, before jackknifing to his feet again and trying to stab Percy

"Perseus Jackson! You killed my sister!"  Nico said

"What?! I killed Hazel?" He parried Nico's strike
