Ariana's POV
I wander the streets and hope to find someone who matches Magnus's description. I find a lot of homeless people, but no cousin of Annabeth's. I find a bench that overlooks a statue of ducklings.
By 12:05, I'm thoroughly done with hunting out this cousin. I'm getting up to leave when he pops out of the duckling statue
"Why the heck did you just fall out of a statue?" I ask
"How the heck did you see us fall out of the statue?" He returns
"Because I'm a godling, duh" I roll my eyes "So anyway, Annabeth-"
"You know Annabeth?" He asks
"Yeah. Anyway, she's about to get married-"
"SHE'S GETTING MARRIED?" Magnus shouts, and I slap my hand over his mouth
"-To Percy Jackson, my brother. She sent me to get you because the wedding is the day after tomorrow. So I'm your future cousin-in-law, and we need to go" A tall blond man falls out, and he signs in ASL, asking me a question "I am not planning on hurting Magnus unless I have to drag him to New York for Annabeth's wedding" I sign back
"His cousin Annabeth?" He asks
"Yes" I sign "We have to go before the plane lands, and I only have a few portal opportunities left. Magnus, is there anyone you want to bring with you?" by then, three more people have fallen from the ducks, a person with a hijab, someone in a sweater vest, and a short person in sun netting. "I'm not going to explain everything again!" I toss my hands into the air. Elf man explains, which is nice.
"So, you're Magnus's cousin-in-law?" Dwarf asks
"In two days," I say, "Wait-Annabeth told me something about Norse myths-shit" I groan
"Why are you cursing?" Elf asks
"I may or may not have killed Aegir and devoured his essence" I admit. All of them make a squeaking sound "Hey, he tried to kill me first! So what if it turned me into a god?"
"This is getting more confusing by the minute. So, I can take one person with me? Alex, want to go to a wedding?" Magnus turns to the person in a sweater vest
"Sure" They shrug
"Okay great! Let's go before-" I flash white, and now all the power is out, and I'm in full goddess mode "Dammit! I never should have brought up Aegir!" I concentrate on being myself again, and it vanishes, but I still have my crown "UHG!"
I continue groaning when I rip open the portal "This will take you to the parkade where my car is" I jump through
