3rd POV
Ariana and Kaldur let their hands fall, knowing their bond had been restored
"It's been too long since we've been able to talk freely," Ariana said
"I know" Kaldur frowned and watched Wolffe try to sneak up on them "Hi Wolffe"
"Dammit" Wolffe mumbled
"Did you really think you could sneak up on us?" Ariana rolled her eyes
"If everything went well. You were wrapped up in the spell when I turned the corner" Wolffe scrambled into the intersection, now a bit cramped with the four people in there. "Kix wants you guys to come back"
"We guessed" Rex sighed
"Never" Ariana shook her head "I hate hospitals"
"You've never been in one," Kaldur asked
"I had a bad experience," Ariana said
"What?" Kaldur asked
"I said, I had a bad experience"
"I should go meet with the Generals" Rex sighed, then kicked out a vent and dropped into the empty hallway
Ariana and Kaldur chilled in the vents, waiting for an answer from Rex. Wolffe had gone too, and now the two of them played chopsticks as they waited
Kaldur won the fifth round, and Ariana tossed her hands in the air
"When will he get back?" She complained
"Right now" Rex pulled into the vents "We're headed for Kamino"
"The water planet? YES!" Ariana tossed away her lousy mood for a better one
"Bad news though," Rex sighed "The water won't respond to you Ariana, but the sea creatures will,"
"Why?" Ariana frowned
"Kaldur tamed the waters" Rerx added
"But, Kaldur and I have interlocked souls, as the chant stated. What he can do, I can do" Ariana smiled
"Not with Kamino," Kaldur sighed, "She said she'd only choose one, and she picked me, since my mom is the Goddess of Stormy Water and Kamino is a stormwater planet,"
"But, I am Kymopoleia's sister, and you are technically my nephew" Ariana added
"Kamino is a she?" Rex asked
"Yes, anyways," Kaldur said, "She did say she'd make an exception and give you control of the sea life just not the water itself."
"Let's just see what happens when we get there" Ariana grinned slyly
"Ariana, Kamino is an alien planet made by my mother!" Kaldur explained
"And your mother is my sister!" Ariana argued, and all three left the vents
The two teenagers bickered about Kamino as he left to find the generals. They had been curious about the two sword masters who could take on a small army of droids single-handedly. Ariana stopped talking to Kaldur quickly
"Rex, why are you so on edge?" she whispered, letting her voice ring through his head "You weren't even this tense when we landed on the planet"
"MINE!" The Waves screamed, and then Ariana's voice cut out as Fox rounded the corner with two cups of caf, handing one to Rex, who downed the cup in a single swig
