Ariana's POV

The headline for the Daily Bugle was Hil-ari-ous

"Spider-Man and his mysterious partner overtake New York!"

Multiple bloggers had taken up the call as well

"Sea Queen teams up with Spider-Man!"

I may or may not have dropped a line telling them my superhero persona.

Peter came up to me

"Sea Queen?" He asks

"What? You know who I am. Seriously, who named you?" I laugh

"The public" Peter mumbles. The science teacher walks in as we laugh

"ARIANA, PETER. Please stop flirting" They groan. the class laughs. I smile and Peter turns bright pink. My phone pings with three hundred and four messages?! All from Mom? I drop my phone in my pocket and pay attention to the lesson.

Peter and I run laps around the city, him swinging over streets and me jumping from roof to roof alongside him I spin through the air, leaping across a road and landing on a signpost. I grinned wildly at him and bounced away onto a windowsill. I leapt over him again and tagged his back as the lamposts flicked on

"TAG!" I laugh

"Oh, I'll get you back for that!" He starts to chase me, and I swing around the post and take off down the street, Laughing as we play. I dodge a web and then remember

"I have to go. Same time tomorrow?" I jumped off the edge of a roof. He was used to my unusual disappearances. I let my suit turn into a hoodie and jeans before I pull out my phone and check my messages. My mom wants me to come by her place. I was planning to anyway! I start heading toward the upper east side.

"Mom?" I call into the apartment

"In the living room!" She shouts. I walk into the living room and see Bruce

"Hey, Bruce. What brings you here?" I ask, nabbing a blue cookie from the tray and sitting next to Estelle.

"You know him?" Mom asked

"We ran into each other a few times. How's Tim?" I said

"He's doing fine" Bruce groaned

"Ariana, Bruce is my cousin," Mom says. I stop mid-bite

"What?" I add "Please don't do a schpeal, but I have way too much on my plate right now" I add

"Figuratively, or Literally?" Mom asks, pointing to the plate of cookies on my lap

"Both" I smile, then turn to Bruce "Do you want more explanations, or can I leave? I need to get back on my hunt for Kaldur"

"Who's Kaldur?" Mom asks

"My hammerhead shark" I lie

"Let me guess. He escaped your father's place?" Mom sighed

"Yes," I frown. I hate lying "And the ocean is a big place"

"Okay, you can go. But can you stop by Percy's? I forgot to give him his wedding present" She handed me a package wrapped in blue paper.

"I'll stop by. Besides, their Honeymoon is probably over by now" I smile, and leave a very confused Bruce and a happy mom and baby sister.

I walk into their house via the waterfall in the foyer

"HEY PERCY!" I shout "I'VE GOT A GIFT FROM MOM!" his head appears at the top of the stairs

"Come on up!" He smiles, and I leap from the bottom to the landing. Annabeth is sipping on a glass of water in her sundress, and her shoulders are sunburnt. Percy snatches the gift and shakes it before he rips the paper away and  grabs the tin "COOKIES!" he pops the lid open and shoves one into his mouth, then offers one to his wife, who grabs the tin from him and tosses it up onto the fridge

"I am not dealing with you on a sugar high later," Annabeth says

"Perce, you should call Mom," I say "Bye!" I jump back down the stairs and into the waterfall

I place my hand against the pad

"Accepted"

I walk into the base as it slowly falls into the sea. I pass by the training room and walk into the chamber to the left, where the tracker in Kaldur's sword blinks on a location I'll never reach

"Stay safe," I say "I don't want my Guardian dying on me"
