Cannibal Craving (Venom x Eddie Mpreg)

~Chapter 9~

Eddies PoV

This was quite the unusual affair, I must admit. It's felt like so long since I've went out and done anything with a friend, and I can confidently say that I've forgotten how to dress for the occasion.  

I mean- I knew it was just Ashley, but Hannah seemed like the fancy type, and I didn't know if her style would set the mood for the rest of the dinner since we were all meeting at her place. Then again, who the hell was I trying to impress? After all, I was pretty much only doing this for Ashley anyways. 

I try on a few outfits regardless of that thought, and after Venom harshly criticizes a few of them, we both decided on a grey t-shirt, some blue jeans, and my red letterman jacket that I'd been dying for a chance to wear again. Tying on a pair of converse, I stand in front of the mirror to fix any little imperfections I might see, and I can see Vee admiring me from the corner of my eye. 

"Take a picture, it might last longer," I remark, making them turn away bashfully.

"Well pardon me for thinking you're beautiful," they shoot back in a snobby attitude. I chuckle and make a few small readjustments to the bandages, making sure that they were comfortable before deeming myself worthy and leaving the room. 

"Oh come on now, you know I like it when you look at me like that," I say sweetly, making their shy smile return. It always did warm my heart to know that even a divine galactic being like Venom could be such a big sap. It gave me hope that love was a universally known language among all beings, but perhaps I just got lucky. 

"How could I look away?" Its my turn to blush now, and I shake my head, grabbing the keys. 

"Now you're just trying to flatter me," I joke. A low rumble of a laugh fills the air, and Vee gives my cheek a tender peck before sinking gracefully back under my skin. 

"Are you ready, my love?" 

I exhale deeply. "As ready as I'll ever be." 

We make our way out to the car, bringing up Google Maps and putting in the address so we could get this show on the road, heading out with nothing but an appetite and Eminem on the radio. The first half of the ride was spent just enjoying the music, playing I spy, and arguing about if water was actually wet, but I eventually notice the free hand I wasn't driving with somehow finds its way to my middle, and a thought suddenly occurs to me. 

"Hey Vee, I've been meaning to ask you something that's been on my mind for awhile now... a-about the baby.." I say the magic word and feel them immediately liven up a bit. 

"Oh? What is it that you want to know?" Well honestly a few things, but I figured I should start with my first initial question.

"I was wondering... can you see them from in there?" 

"Are you asking if I can see the baby?" I nod, and hear them hum quietly as they shuffle slightly in their spot near the child. "Unfortunately, I cannot. Since your womb is almost entirely my design, its coated in a black outer layer that I can't see through." Before I can catch myself, a small sigh escapes my lips, and Venom doesn't leave it to go unnoticed. "You sound disappointed by that information. May I ask you why, Eddie?" 

I was hoping they wouldn't ask that, but this has been something that has been bothering me for a few days, and I clutch the wheel, preparing to open up and talk about it. "It's just-... I haven't felt them move at all since last week, and I'm not exactly sure if thats like- normal or whatever," I admit. "I was hoping that maybe if you could see them you might be able to tell me if-..." 

"If they were okay?" the alien finishes for me.

"Yeah, that..." This was still really strange for me. Even after 4 months I was still trying to get used to the idea of all this, but I wasn't selfish enough to risk the health of the baby that was growing inside of me for a fleeting moment of comfort. I know I only ever felt it once, but I was seriously worried, and I would rather deal with the uneasy feeling of a few kicks and squirms than the dread of not knowing if they were alright.
