Trouble!!

I ran to the bus stop at the corner of the street and took the bus which went closest to the dock. The bus stopped about a kilometre away from the dock. Jumping out, I looked around trying to figure out the fastest way to travel one kilometre. I did not even bother asking for directions because everyone here in this part of the beach either looked drunk or diseased. It was late in the afternoon when the few people who decided to tan with the early summer sun, were going back home.

I saw a strip of clearing that vendors were using as a shortcut for directly to the main part of the beach. I had to go to the main part of the main beach too.

So, I dashed through the little gaps left beside the neat line made by different kinds of vendors. I got nasty glares but I chose to ignore them.

Finally, I found the landmark given by Bert- a lamp post with a blue smear across its mid point. From there, when I carefully looked at the sand, I could see grain sized blue dots leading to someplace.

I followed them until I came to a fork in the path. One side was the same blue grains and on the other green grains laid a path. Right in between these two paths was a pitchfork. Don't ask me how that came here.

Hesitatingly, I picked up the pitchfork and headed towards the blue path. Suddenly, a green robot like thing appeared in front of me. It was about two feet tall and kind of cute. Its glow freaked me out so much that it looked like it had a board around it that said- Kill on sight. So I did do that. Before I could have second thoughts about my actions, my hands held on tightly to the pitchfork and smashed the robot into pieces.

After regretfully walking for about five hundred yards, I found Nitor still sitting behind the crates. He whispered, "Did you by any chance come across the enemy's killer bot?"

I told him about the tiny robot like thing and worry took over his face.

He put his hands on my shoulders firmly and said, "You are the chosen one."
