"You won't try to run or anything, right?" Logo asked me doubtfully as he checked out the boxes in the palm of his hand.
I didn't really know what I was going to do, so I just gave him a blank expression and shrugged. "Let's not take chances, shall we? I'll make you a deal. You don't try to run and we won't use force to restrain you" Luca said commandingly. At this, Logo looked at Luca and shook his head, giving him a pathetic look. "Do you have to be like that? What? Stop glaring at me!" he said as Luca stared at him reproachfully. And of course, Luca had to come up with a defensive statement, "We will do things my way unless you have an idea, a valid idea, of doing things differently."
"She is human and I bet she is curious. I mean, they're made of that stuff", Logo said to Luca and then turned to me, "I am assuming you weren't really welcomed with warm hands here. So, you obviously have many questions in your mind. We promise to answer any one question of yours if you assure as that you won't run." His eyebrows were questioningly raised, awaiting my answer. I replied with a simple "Okay" and nodded my head. We didn't get off that level but went a bit further to an even darker part and opened a door.
The door was so short that we had to bend over a bit to get in. There were three connected chairs, like the ones you would find in an airport, at one side of the room and a cuboidal device with a ridiculous number of buttons and a small screen on the opposite wall and right in the middle of the room was a high stool with a shining, sleek and marble-like black surface. The minute I entered the room, I had a strange desire to touch that top of the high stool and that is exactly what I did. As my hands made contact with the cold, hard surface, there were zaps of electricity running on my hand, making tiny bumps appear on my arm. But I didn't lift my hands of it, because now I was enjoying the sensation with my eyes closed.
"Are you alright?" I heard Logo's voice and upon opening my eyes, I found Luca staring at me as if I was an alien. Oh wait, to them, I was.
"Are you guys twins?" I counter- questioned using an extremely random thought. They surely didn't look like twins.
"Yea, we are. Unidentical twins", he added upon seeing my confused face.
I nodded my head and sat quietly in the second chair. Logo was making his way to the device as Luca stopped him, "Not so fast, Logo. Get back here and deal with your stupid promise. No way am I going to put up with this human nonsense", he said, almost grumbling to himself towards the end.
"Ugh" Logo grunted, placing the boxes on the high stool and making his way to the seat beside mine. Luca walked towards the device, throwing one last glance towards us, he picked up a chip, inserted it into the device and typed away. Logo gave me an I-will-regret-this look and said uncertainly, "Um, fire away".
"Okay, don't back off. Who is this person and what is her importance around here?" I asked and started describing the woman who had saved me from that prison-like room and advised me to go back home. But I didn't tell them everything that had happened.
"Oh! Okay. She is Creatrix and she is our savior. Legend says that her sister and her saved our world when power hungry individuals caused utter turmoil and chaos. She came and organized every single one of us into two different kingdoms. She is our mentor and we consider her as our Mother."
"Legend? How old is she exactly?"
"Forty eight. She was twenty two when she came here."
"What about her sister? What is her name?"
"They say she's dead and her name was-"
"That is enough for now. You got more than what you were promised", Luca interrupted and gave me a stern look.
