We aren't robots!

One desk had no one behind it, while the other desk had a slender and tall lady with brown locks that moved casually every time she turned her head. As we approached closer, I saw she had beautiful, even, almost Greek-like skin, she was typing away furiously on her paper-thin keyboard.

She caught sight of us entering, quickly stood up and walked towards us with rage. She grabbed the container holding the chips from Luca and snapped, "I have enough trouble without you knuckle heads reporting late with the data chips!"

My stomach growled. That is when I remembered I hadn't felt hungry at all in the past two days. Wow, was I an alien too now? Or maybe it's just that mysterious liquid that Creatrix gave me.

Torva stared intensely at me with a suspicious feeling in her eyes. It took her about five seconds to realize I was a human. I think her neck snapped, because she turned her head so fast to look at Logo, who was standing beside me and asked him, "Who is she?"

"Umm, Nitor asked us to-"

"Oh. Okay, so Nitor set you up with this... chore. I'll make sure to have a word with him. I want you two to report here after three stars, there is something important I want you two to know."

The twins bowed and mechanically walked out of the room, with me in tow, as I glanced at the blue fire emblem one last time.

"Logo, what did she mean by three stars?" I asked curiously.

"Our planet is in such a zone of the galaxy that there has always been a periodic occurrence of galactic debris fall in the atmosphere", Luca answered unexpectedly even though I had made it specific to ask Logo. I could really do without an unwanted dose of rudeness right now.

"I'm sorry if I hurt you", Luca apologized, "I just had a lot on my mind."

"It's alright", I said and gave the biggest grin possible. He wasn't that bad.

"By the way, one star equals ten earth minutes", Logo said, smiling because he knew I hadn't caught a single word Luca had said.

Just as we were walking down a beautiful corridor with pictures of two little girls, Logo said, "Pictures of Creatrix and her dead sister."

"Oh no! I forgot that I wanted to ask Torva Creatrix's dead sister's name."

"Seriously, you do not want to mess around even a bit with Torva. You would have been dead meat if you did that."

As I looked at the floor which had been divided into huge squares, I was taking long steps so that each step landed in a square and I heard a familiar voice.

"What are you two still doing here?" Nitor.

"We got in enough trouble for returning your favor but she was hungry", Luca turned to me and said, "We heard you stomach growling."

"And we are pretty hungry too", Logo shrugged, "So we were headed to the dining hall."

I interjected in this conversation, "Wait, you people are alien robots. You probably eat nuts and bolts, I can't eat that!"

"And who told you we are robots?", Logo asked in between laughs.

"Nitor did."

"Oh really, Nitor when did you become a robot?", Luca asked mockingly.

"I damn sure never told you that I was a robot. Alien? Yes, but robot? No way!", Nitor said, looking surprised and also laughing.

"Oh, I might or might not have assumed that fact", I said with a sheepish smile, "Well, what kind of food do you guys eat?"

Luca smirked, "You'll see".
