"It's over Alice. We're free."

Thanks to Markus and his passports and help from a few other friends along our journey, Luther, Alice and I successfully crossed the border into Canada.

Here we were free to live our lives the way we desired

Luther bends down beside me and Alice and takes us in his big arms in a more than welcomed group hug.

Joyous laughter filled our small space as tears fell from our eyes from such a privilege.

We are free

Y/n

"Connor, that Is definitely not how you use a rolling pin." I chuckled, watching him struggle as he attempted to use the baking utensil in all the wrong ways before I came to his rescue. "I really didn't think you would struggle this much in the kitchen with your career and such." Playfully rolling my eyes as he began copying my technique with a smirk on his face. "I wasn't exactly created for the kitchen Y/n." He laughed, wiping his hands on his now flour-covered apron as he moved to grab something from behind me.

"However..." He began mischievously keeping his face close to mine as his hands grabbed something in each hand. "If this were a crime scene this would be a different story!!" I screamed as flour covered me from head to toe. "Ohhh you're going to get it now mister!" I scrambled for the flour from the cabinet as his powdered hands circled me around the kitchen island. Hank's view of the kitchen from the living room gave him a front-row seat to our onslaught as the house filled with contentment and glee.

"Get some in his nose Y/n! I've heard rumors it's the hardest place to clean!" Hank says between fits of laughter, cheering us on from the couch.

"You can't escape me that easily Y/n!" Connor says in a fake serious voice before pouncing to the right side of the island toward me. I scream as his arms wrap around my waist from behind, tickling me senseless in my defenseless state.

As his tickling came to an end, I wrapped my arms around his still holding me close around my waist. I leaned into his touch further by resting the back of my head on his chest. Kisses peppered the length of my shoulder but were cut short by Connor's coughing from inhaling and kissing so much flour on my skin. I laughed at the hilarious moment and wrapped my arms lovingly around the back of his neck after he was finished. I pressed my forehead against his own as he wrapped his arms around my waist again, imprinting this moment in our consciousness.

"You make me feel completely whole Y/n. You help me understand what it is to truly be alive."
