Me and JJ didn't exchange a single word since he stepped inside of the house. I don't know if it was because we were both speechless or because of the fact that we didn't want to talk to each other.

I let my parents do all the talking, they gave him instructions and a whole list of things to do. It almost seemed like he was babysitting me at some point but then reminded him again of how I was never home.

JJ had never been at my place before. No one really hung out at my place except for the Kooks. Pogues aren't really wanted at 'our' side of the island unless they're working for you. Idiotic if you ask me.

My parents showed him around the house and led him to the guest bedroom that was never used and probably filled with dust by now.

When they led him to the guest bedroom I decided to go to my own room to process the whole thing going on that I definitely disliked, I didn't know what things he'd do to this house with my parents gone, he's definitely not a good 'maid' or whatever you want to call it.

I was watching TV on my bed for a couple hours. I was watching Netflix trying to finish the series YOU which I had been obsessed with lately.

I watched it until about 1 AM when I got tired and decided it was a good idea to get ready to go to bed since my parents were leaving early in the morning.

I had just put on my pyjama pants when randomly my door opened which made me flinch since my parents usually went to bed at 11 and would never go into my room at night.

I immediately cover myself with my arms since I was only wearing my bra and well, the pyjama pants.

When I turned around to look at who it was I figured it was JJ, of course it was JJ..

JJ's eyes were fixated on my chest before looking away, immediately making me cringe. He turned around so he couldn't see me anymore."Sorry— my bad, should've knocked."

I quickly put on my pyjama shirt and sighed. "Definitely should've knocked." I agreed. "You can look now."

"Yeah sorry I was uh.. looking for the bathroom?" he said as explanation though it was obvious he was bullshitting. He turned around to face me and gave me a rather awkward smile.

"Eh.." I stared at him in disbelief cause of the lying. "My parents showed you around so that's the worst excuse you've ever came up with."

JJ let out a sigh and rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah uh, I just wanted to come talk to you I guess."

"At 1 AM?" I crossed my arms.

"Yeah?" He raised an eyebrow. "I don't think your parents would like to see a Pogue in your bedroom."

I gave him a disgusted look. "The way you worded that is just.. not it."

"Oh yeah, how could I forget you have a boyfriend." He replied.

"Will you ever drop the fact I'm dating him? Jesus Christ." I scoffed, honestly so done with the whole enemy shit they've had going on. "You sound fucking jealous."

He bursted out laughing, making fun of my comment. "Jealous of what exactly? A Kook dating another Kook, oh no, no at all. Just think it's funny you're dating an absolute psychopath like Rafe Cameron."

"Whatever JJ." I replied, not into having an argument at night.

"Yeah whatever." He paused. "Anyways I came here to ask if you're okay with this, like- me being in your house and stuff." His voice softened.

I was confused by the sudden tone change, JJ had never talked in that way to me. I sat down on my bed and watched JJ who was standing in the door frame. "I guess it is, I don't really see how it would be a big deal. Thank you for caring enough to ask I guess?"
