Since I'm not the brightest light on the Christmas tree and I also have terrible memory, I forgot to turn off my alarm last night since there's no school today.

Homecoming day.

So I woke up groggy and hungry, and spent my morning wishing I could fall back asleep. And while everyone else at Timex were getting ready to go to the homecoming game, I was getting "the talk" from Oda.

She wasn't pleased that I went out of my way to get me and Lee to talk again, but she looked satisfied when I assured her that our friendship is a 50/50 split of effort. I'm not sure if she believed me or not, and I wish I could say it didn't matter to me, but it does. Similar to me, Oda goes off of the energy of a person, not their words. If Oda doesn't like the energy someone gives off, then she doesn't like them altogether. I'm just hoping that she felt the same energy that I felt the other day from Lee's apology. His voice was low and some of his words were shaky, and I know how hard it is for him to be vulnerable. I didn't have to be afraid of Oda buying it, cause there was nothing to buy. It was the full and raw truth.

The talk concluded with her caving and saying we can use her house as a place for our homecoming. And when she questioned if Lee was spending the night, I wasn't sure what to say to that.

So I said yes. Just in case.

When Oda left to go hang out with friends for the rest of night, I spent a few hours cleaning the house (mostly my room), and then left the house and spent some of the money Oda gave me for some food, then I came back and got high, and then I tried to write...

Butttttt I fell asleep.

Hearing Lee's knock on my door woke me up faster than any alarm clock could.

And seeing his puffy red eyes made every ounce of drowsiness in me disappear.

As I walk him into my house and sit him down, I check my phone as I get him a glass of water. And like I thought, he hasn't texted me anything to me all day.

I walk back over to Lee and hand him the glass, and cross my arms with concern as he takes a sip of it.

"Thanks." Lee says quietly.

"You wanna tell me what the hell happened?" I ask.

Lee sighs and taps his finger on the glass.

"Did someone hurt you?"

"No one hurt me. I just didn't want to be at home."

"Lee, you gotta talk to me." I say softly as I sit down next to him.

Lee shakes his head, "Maybe later?"

"Okay, maybe later."I huff.

Lee takes another sip of water, then he puts down the glass.

"I was serious, by the way." He says.

"What? About the blunt thing?" I stare at him.

Lee nods, "Is that okay?"

"Have you ever smoked before?"

"No, never."

"Um, what makes you want to smoke now?" I scratch my head.

"I'll tell you why later."

"Are you sure about this?" I ask hesitantly.

Lee nods his head with a serious look on his face. Like he really does mean it.

Who am I to tell him no?

Besides, if it's his first time smoking weed, I'm glad that he chose for it to be with me.
